the last fighter floyd "wanted down" was mosley. Rarely, if ever in their fight did Canelo take a step back. Typical floyd nuthuggery here folks.
Canelo went back the entire fight dude Lol
he was pumped full of IV fluids to mask his cheating while canelo was severely drained. that's why. remember floyd fans bashing marg for cheating and questioning his entire career? well how long has floyd been cheating? we will never know
1) floyd's brilliance!
2) canelos fight strategy, or lack of. He tried to out counter an out technique the best counter puncher and technician of our generation. He should taken leather to gain position, Ala 'el chino' but was unwilling to do so.
He stood right in front of the bigger man and even walked him down most of the fight...Post and discuss
Floyd Mayweather is now officially a confirmed PED user so to answer your question, the reason he was able to stand in front of Canelo is because he was roided out of his mind for that fight while Canelo was dehydrated to the point of being sick.
Canelo was out witted. Young gun had an experience disadvantage against the craftiest guy in the game.
When Canelo's fight plan got derailed he lost focus / didn't know what to do, so he became reactive instead of proactive. When he tried to be proactive it was awkward and extremely telegraphed. Mayweather pretty much dictated the fight from that point. When all of Canelo's offense became predictable Mayweather led him around the ring like a dog on a leash. The pressure of trying to figure out Mayweather and come up with a new plan at the same time made Canelo second guess every move he made. Analysis paralysis they call it. To the point where Mayweather could do whatever he wanted.
I saw May move a lot in that fight..I'm not saying May was not a smart defensive or did'int show skills..Actually I'm not trying to be neg at all..Yet I seen May move more in this fight then in the RG and Cotto fights..Esp the Cotto fight, that's how you walk someone down..He did not walk Alvarez down, unless your meaning something else,if so please explain..
Everyone knows Floyd ran like hell against Ghost. That fight was bored as hell. Against Cotto, he walked him down allot but it wasnt effective like it was against Canelo. Against Cotto, he walked into Cotto's jabs, and didnt land that much when he tried to be offensive.
Watch the fight that the guy just posted. See the screengrab of the fight? When Canelo is cowaring in the corner? And Floyd has a mean face after landing his right hand? That was one of the many scenes in the fight. Floyd pushed the bigger man backwards, kept forcing him to move, then blinding him. In the second round after he pushed him around for half the round, he fought going backwards to allow Nelo to blow off steam.
He did the same thing in the 3rd round. Walking him, forcing him around, and Canelo starts getting mad Floyd bounces around to let him blow off steam.
That is until the 4th round. Floyd walked him the entire round, countering up close, crowd screaming far more than they did in the Ghost fight. The Ghost fight was a dud imo!
Dude The Ghost fight was boring af. He ran like a MF against Ghost. The Canelo fight was like day and night in comparison! People hate to admit that Floyd did what he did to Canelo. Stood in front of his big butt and didnt get grazed!

:lol1: was gonna say
Mayweather walked down Judah, he definitely did not walk down Canelo.
Canelo lost because he decided to abandon all of his advantages (size, strength, power) in favour of trying to outbox the greatest boxer of this generation. He might have lost either way, but choosing those tactics was suicide vs a fighter like FMjr
Canelo lost because he was being pushed around the ring as Floyd shoulder rolled him to death, walking through the few shots he landed, and not getting grazed by all the ones Canelo threw! It was amazing!
i question whether a lot of you are fit to talk about what you look at when you wtach a boxing match. it takes years to understand what is going on, and it's basically impossible to understand the sport fully when you're heavily biased.
walked him down!? are you nuts?
Your nuts for even disagreeing dude! Lol Just stop tha lyin and get over it!
The video didnt show when I commented. I see you posted the fight. Try watching it, and this time dont lie about what happens. This fight was EXCELLENT by Floyd I seen it a few times! Notice how in the opening round, Floyd IMMEDEATELY comes forward. And he spends the majority of the first few rounds allowing Canelo to be right in front of him, until that 4th round when Floyd started performing majic, pushing the bigger man back! And even in the STILL of the video, you see Canelo cowaring in the corner, as Floyd has a mean face making the bigger man pay! Floyd actually looked like Broner in that fight!
I did not think May stood in front of Canelo..I thought he move much more then in his last three fights leading up to the Alvarez fight..He walked down Cotto and Guerrero no doubt..He moved a lot against Canelo bro,you should watch that fight again..

a lot of you clearly dont' watch boxing.
He walked the shiet out of Canelo. The most aggressive Floyd has been in a while, and I thought he actually fought a little like Broner! It is what it is!
Dude, you're really, really confused. Canelo got outclassed, Shane got whooped.
How the hell did Shane get whipped when aint nobody throw any punches. Against Canelo, Floyd let his hands go and hesitated way less. Two completely different fights. And I mean COMPLETELY different!
Why is everyone even arguing this? Lol

i agree with this. it wouldn't have been typical of his style, but he could have treid to be more aggressive. i always expected him to try and box / punch with mayweather, and lose the decision. made a small bet on floyd on points at the MGM. it was me and a bunch of black guys getting our "mayweather money" at the sportsbook on sunday :D. i made friends. some of those guys dropped 2-3 grand, and they clearly were working class dudes. dedication. easy money, actually. smart move.
i do think canelo being "mexican" works against him somewhat in the respect that it brings people to think that he's more aggressive than he is. he's a boxer by nature, and a good one. he just ran into one of the best boxers of all time on a night when he looked young and sharp.
a lot of you clearly dont' watch boxing.
