In Vegas for the weekend visiting some friends(first time in Vegas). Was thinking of going by the Mayweather Boxing Club to see it just so I can say i've been and perhaps talk boxing with Roger or big Floyd if they would just so happen to be there. But my dislike for Mayweather is kinda preventing me from going. Should I just say screw it and go, or is it not really that important? Also, any suggestions on things to do here aside from gamble.
Haha I didn't think that was believable when I typed. I thought he was rather small too but I guess a lot of people are compared to me
I guess he's like 5'10 or something right? Looks slightly taller than Floyd.
But I guess if you're 6'5 then yes, most people would be. Haha.
Now I know you're lying.

Just met Leonard Ellerbe, dude was cool as heck. His nostrils aren't as big as they look in pics and videos. Guess the camera adds ten pounds to the nostrils

I would go. Its Mayweather and this close to fight might get glimpse. You will be surprised how small he is
But other than that
Mandarin bar in the mandarin hotel has IMO the best view of Vegas strip. Drinks pricey and reservations needed but the view is worth it. Go at sunset.
Food!!! Sushi for me. Ceasars, Venetian and Bellagio but good stuff everywhere.
MGM cause the fight ring might be up in the lobby. Good pic
Aria is the best hotel IMO so take a look.
Ceasars mall. Talking statues and changing sky
Linq. 50 will get you a ride (40-45 min) and all you can drink which isn't much but take a couple shots to start and have drink and its worth it. or 35 i think for one drink and ride. Was drunk when went so pricing may be off.
Mix in mandalay hotel. Top floor but great views. Get there before it becomes the Mix club and you'll be able to sit next to the divider glass. Scary if you fear heights but cool
Take shot in every bar at every hotel you pass and Wander the strip and drink canned beer
Have fun man!! Been there 33 times (yes i count, funny story) Its one of my favorite places to visit
what kind of loser has to ask a bunch of grown ass men whether or not he should visit a gym?
:lol1:
I bet you felt empowering typing that in your room.

Probably the same kind of loser who would comment in a thread like this
From all reports the Gym is a real cool atmosphere, as long as you don't go into HIS GYM being disrespectful I doubt you will have any problems
Yeah I'm not that kind of dude. Like I said before (Mayweather quote) I may not like the guy but I respect what he's done and think he is one heck of a boxer
A few people had mentioned the Bellagio buffet so that the first place I went cause I got here around 1300 yesterday. A bit disappointing to be honest but I was hype we didn't have to wait in line cause I heard it gets crazy there.
I see man, I didn't go to that one. I went to the Paris Hotel Buffet twice and it was awesome. A bit pricey but you felt like the quality and variety of the food were worth it. From the food all the way to the desserts, Im getting hungry right now as we speak.
No problem man. Also for food, you got your expensive restaurants that are easy to spot out but you also have your regular fast food places on the strip. Subway, Panda Express, McDonalds... with the same prices you'll find anywhere else. You also have your normal restaurants like Chilis and Hard Rock Cafe which are awesome and good prices as well, if you want to go eat out one of the nights. You won't break the bank at all.
Stay away from strip club offers, it all just feels shady as hell. Avoid interacting with beggars or street performers, just observe from afar. Stay safe, its easy to.

I dont get why people hate Floyd but want to go to his gym and talk to his family...Makes no sense to me
I didn't say I hated him. You are aware that you can not care too much for one person but still like people in that person''s family right?
Good stuff. Thanks man

ALSO, be on the lookout for signings, Tyson had a few when I visited but I missed them. If there is a SMALL fight taking place, Id suggest go to it with your friends.
Also the Paris Tower, if you buy the tickets they OFFER YOU the High Roller tickets for half the price which is A VERY GOOD DEAL.
Also, any suggestions on things to do here aside from gamble.
Here are some of the things I did / I'd suggest that are FREE:
- WALK around the strip, watch street performers (get that Vegas vibe) (keep your distance from the performers, OTHERWISE, you'd be on that awkward I don't want to donate position - don't volunteer, just watch from a safe distance)
- Welcome To Las Vegas Sign (there is a photo line, an iconic photo for you as a visitor)
- Check out Ceasars Palace and its mall, place is beautiful inside (you can also see and take a pic with the Joe Louis statue)
- Fernando Vargas Gym (if you care for him, its a must)
- MGM Grand Lobby / Arena (you get to be where all the big boxing events have happened if you know what I mean)
- Pawn Stars place (Gold & Silver Pawn Shop) / I even got asked to appear in an episode as an extra :D Felt extremely dumb after a while. The show is ****ing fake. They record it in a replica stage on the back.
Here are others that cost money and the others that due to time constraints might not possible:
- High Roller (AWESOME experience, you can go with friends and have drinks while you watch the whole city from above - it gives you that "now we here" reflective type feeling if you know what I mean
- AdventureDome (theme park inside a huge capsule at the Circus Hotel - feels like its aimed for kids but you see people from all ages)
- Grand Canyon
- David Copperfield Magic Show (its enjoyable but a bit disappointing for the price tbh - if Criss Angel is in town, which he wasn't when I visited, go to the Criss Angel show)
- Zumanity (18+ version of cirque du soleil) (very arousing, loved it lol )
Off the top of my head. You can also of course find bars in every hotel and do the usual stuff. Tried to suggest other things to do.
DON'T entertain rappers like I did or get harassed for half a mile to buy for the EP they put in your hands.
