u didnt know who rigo was until he beat donaire.
and because everyone said donaire is gangsta, u thought he was in his prime.
well FYI, donaire was not in his prime just because u started noticing him when hes fighting at 122.
donaire was woopin ass from flyweight to super flyweight to bantamweight to super bantamweight.
thats 4 weight classes before losing a 12 rd decision to rigo.
and he got taken to school.. how? by scoring a KD on rigo?:boxing::boxing:
Personally I was watching Rigondeaux before the Doniare fight and one of the few backing him up before the fight. Rigondeaex has always been a master boxer since defecting and turning professional. Only the casual fans or down right moronic fans were oblivious to his skills.
Ignorance is bliss, so enjoy your blissful hate.
by the way, your blissful hate have brought you to write some posts against a person you hate, thus bringing him into the spotlights n getting rebuked by others, at least here, looks like a very smart way of hating n trying to make somebody dissappear, as a smart as some boxers.
until he ran into rigo, donaire had one of the best resumes of his generation. however in my opinion he fell in love with his power and became one-dimensional. he actually used to be incredibly skilled
Great bit of revisionist history here. Rigo was a 3/1 underdog for this fight and Donaire was a top 5 P4P fighter. Outside one KD in round 10 Rigo pretty much controlled the entire fight.
Up there with the best single win of the last 5 years.
Feel free to say Donaire is Rigos only good win, but to try and act like it wasnt a good win is crazy.
Very much this.

what? The fight was years ago, get over.
I'm a huge Donaire fan too and I expected him to beat Rigo, who he had trumped for size, reach and power but he couldn't. Rigo transferred his amateur tricks into a pro ring and boxed Donaire off the back foot almost all night.
You're not wrong, Donaire was a beast in the lower divisions and destroyed genuine world champions and will always be ranked higher than Rigo all time but Rigo was too good for him that night, prime or not.
In fact, I remember people hyping up both Golovkin and Lomenchenko back in '10..........way before they became mainstream.
What people like OP need to realize is that many people on here like boxing enough to follow not just the popular guys on HBO/SHO but up and comers, prospects and amateurs.
TBH I follow amatuer boxing and I'm sure other posters do as well.
In fact Burner and Horus use to do boxing shows years back and people would bring up Rigo back then.
Just because your a casual fan doesn't mean everyone else is.

He always was. When Gamoboa defected. I was most excited about Rigondeaux, then they caught Rigondeaux, so I waited 2 years until he finally made it out.
Its like asking when people knew Lomachenko was the goods? After he demolished everyone winning 2 gold medals. Especially since he was KOing people in the Amateurs.
Don't forget Broner dropped Porter and Chavez dropped Martinez...but then again you're a troll who knows nothing of the sport so why would facts affect your judgement
Wow ...how sad. Threes years in and some can't accept the demoralising beating Donaire took. Donaire has been a shell of himself since that fight. HE hit Rigo with his money punch only for him to get up an have Nonito running in the 12th. And yes Donaire won one round yay that really makes it not a schooling .....Moron
