No, it wasn't a classic, it was just a good fight. But if your objective the next morning is to go thread to thread convincing people of the fight's flaws and you are also somebody that has shown a previous disdain for Al Haymon, it becomes crystal clear that you hate Haymon more than you love boxing. Whatever floats your boat.
I enjoyed the undercard fight - does that mean I still hate Al Haymon? I have enjoyed other PBC fights.
I just thought that particular fight was boring and sloppy...which it was.
You're a clear Haymon dickrider. You actually went into a thread about a potential Porter-Thurman fight and you first response was something about how HBO was dying. :lol1:
You have devolved into one of the worst posters on this forum and you opinion is worthless.
Everyone now has to agree that this mediocre fight was some kind of classic otherwise they're anti-Haymon/PBC :lol1:
Like I said, it wasn't even the best fight on the PBC show that night.
If you have to convince people it wasn't a great fight, then it was.
Exactly! We don't have to debate if it was a great fight just go see peoples opinion from around the world on social media
It is clear that people on this forum are far too corrupt to give a honest opinion. We have people on this forum who are just Pro HBO (because that is where their favorite fighters fight) and is Anti Everything Else
at the end of it thousands in attendance was on their feet and twitter was tweeting "Great Fight!" I doesn't matter what some weirdo with multiple accounts on this forum is trying to spread around on this forum. I watch some losers on this forum who purposely tried to talk about Mosley vs Mayorga over Mares vs LSC last night, it was hilarious and pathetic at the same time
It was a Excellent Fight!
Jaja thats a good logical turn around. I like it
But, Come on man, great fights bring all fans together in agreeement.
You re going to rewatch this? Be honest. Alreafy went off my dvr
I watched it again after I got home. TV really does no justice to how loud Staples was. None at all. I saw a great fight. If you didn't, thats on you.

You obviously don't know what you're watching. You post like you're about 13 years old so it's unsurprising that you thought THAT was some kind of "savage war".
Boring, sloppy fight with two guys throwing shoe-shine arm punches with their heads down.
It wasn't even the best fight of the night. The undercard fight was actually much better as was the Joel Diaz Jr fight on the Mosley-Mayorga undercard.
I dont get the effort to prove it was a war or great fight. I even heard Barrera Morales. The Salido lopez fights were several times better for example
I think we are all desperate for a great fight, havent had one in a while so i forgive them
If people have to convince other people that it was a great fight, then it wasnt
i dont give a **** if its pbc or hbo. That was a bordeline boring fight. I switched to my Hannibal finale when I could
Great fight dont need an argument. They just are

What an event!!! What a night!!! :boxing:
WAR AL HAYMON!!!
I'm not one of these PBC haters, I actually support and watch 80% of what they put out. But the event itself was CLUTTERED with mistakes from Damn near top to bottom. Like WOW. For example, they had Ceja on the screen and had all of the other guys stats on the screen?? I forgot his name already, Ruiz? That was just one of MANY.
Fight was boring. Don't know what other people were watching.
The fight actually started off really good. But by the 3rd-4th round LSC had figured Mates out completely and dominated. All the fireworks were somewhat of a mirage where LSC was actually painting Mares face pretty much from the 4th round on. It was a 9-3 type fight if you seen between the lines. Mares was all flash after the 2nd round and couldn't hit the side of a barn. I actually got a little bored myself but it beat watching two guys stare at each other for 12 rounds.
Well said. Good post.
Like I said in my rant thread, boxing haters and the fake fans get exposed real fast after a good fight because fights like this one, regardless of who you might be a fan of, are appreciated by true fight fans.
It has to be a tired and sad life to always cling to agendas 100%. I am all for gagging on Floyd's balls on here on a daily basis, but I still know when to put the games aside and just enjoy a good old fashioned war, I love the sport first and foremost.
And people saying that it was mostly sloppy and missed punches weren't paying attention and didn't watch the full fight, the fight had sloppy moments but there were many savage clean shots as well, you have to know what you are watching.

Win for Boxing In General! Gives boxing good momentum before the up and coming PPV's. Trying to split boxing fans is not going for the sports. PBC, GBP, K2, Top Rank, Main Events, Match Room whoever...if they give the fans good fights then the fans should and will show up!
People trying to water down LSC vs Mares and trying to find negatives, it is clear you're not a fight fan. Boxing, especially PBC they need more fights like that to win over casual fans who was going crazy over the fight on twitter last night. Again great night for Boxing In General!

I'm not hating he looked great. I just hope he continues fighting more opponents like this and no more insurance salesmen.
You fight whomever they put in front of you, and he has. It's a tired excuse and only realy works if you started watching this sport yesterday, "dempseytrollin"
both guys are. and mandatories mean nothing to fighters with money behind them.
So we can expect Wilder to vacate?
This was to break CW title defense record so the belt did mean everything
What fight were you watching? There were many clean punches landed, from the first round, to the last.
this!!
no drama, almost no good clean punches, sloppy!
matthysse vs provodnikov was WAY better

Yah me too. He better not go back to fighting sparring partners and sh*t. I hope he fights either Russel Jr next or Cuellar. Both good fights
