Rico's chin

His chin doesn't seem good but then he took some bombs from Donaire. Which completely shocked me.

Have nothing against Rigo, but his fans, who always say that he gonna school everybody are annoying. He was dropped and hurt by bums and some comparisons with Marquez's chin are unaccetable. Juan was dropped by big punchers and even then, he wasnt holding for dear life like Rigo in Amagasa fight. Like I said, biased ass fans saying how he gonna school Loma are idiots. If Rigo got hurt by bums like Cordoba, Marroquin and Amagasa, what Lomachenko's punches gonna do to him? Vasily is not a huge puncher, but he has enough pop to drop Rigo multiple times and knowing his accuracy and work rate he will land his punches for sure... ^^^ THIS. The times I've seen him give a little has been by guys with size over him. Rigo isnt a big 122.. I tend to forget that sometimes when I critisize his chin. Marroquin is big, Cordo is big, Ama is big. A couple pounds of weight is a huge deal at the lower weight classes. But his chin has held up well. Does anyone really think Salido beats Loma without that size diff? It's no different with the guys Rigo fights except Rigo is a smaller 122 than Loma is at 126. Rigo is very small, even for 122 and he's incredibly lean and muscular already I dont see how he can realistically be expected to fight at 126. read wat the above quote says lol. btw did you watch cordo and ama's punch that dropped/hurt rigo? or did u just go on boxrec and say "oh Rigo down in x" and "oh this guy is 5'7, hes only hurt against bigger guys"? u know ama NEVER fought at 122 (always 126) in his career and had to drain down to 122?

I don't see why anyone decent wouldn't want to fight him. He's looked vulnerable against guys no one has heard of. Fact is his handlers are milking that donaire win and know he's beatable. Well decent fighters are avoiding him at 122lbs so theres that. We shouldnt even need to talk about a Loma fight because he would be fighting Frampton, Quigg or LSC. To the OP. His chin isnt great obviously, but his recovery is excellent. If he was as vulnerable as people claim he then the contenders in his division would be queing up to take his title

He's chinny, overhyped, beatable, etc, still holds the title at 122 and NO fighter at that weight wants to fight him, ko him n get the crown, interesting.

he got hurt on his way up as a professional. i think he's been down 4 times at this point in his pro career. it's not like he's fighting HW, either. he's getting dropped by tiny little guys hwo can usually take eachother's punches for several rounds. i think it was mostly inexperience, but he had a lot of trouble with ricardo cordoba after he got shaken up. i don't think he's got a great chin. it's not glass, but it's pretty clearly not good.

Rigondeaux is chinny, yes. But anyone who doesn't think Rigondeaux is one of the best fighters in the sport must be too busy studying at clown college to pay attention. yea he tried to bluff it against amagasa, he didnt buy the bull**** and got the 2nd KD. and he is old and small, it definitely contributes to his weak chin. yes his lifespan as a pro is shorter relatively speaking. but why does that matter? what matters is now lol. fvck his chin. Does he not recover quickly? Does he not go on to continue outclassing other fighters? Dropping dudes are only a means to end the fight. Well he is 34 now, he usually smaller than his opponent... his lifespan as a fighter is different than others and harder to gauge professionally. GEtting up nad having to fight with extended periods of noodle legs could be a byproduct of where he is now IDK. If he does have china, I think he's treats it very well. Maybe it's fine china, not that cheap ****. HAHA u called him porcelain. well i duno, i think his chin is weaker, his power is solid enough to get him 10 kos in 15 fights. and given hes at his largest weight possible already, he has pretty good power. (ie. manny and floyd have **** power at 147) THIS is a good post. fair points, good analysis. i agree with many points, but its boring to talk about agreements. i think a good chin can suffer knockdowns, but u dont do stanky legs wen u get up. vs a bad chin, u go down, and if u do manage to get up, ull get up doing the stanky legs. so i think rigo has a bad chin. he loses his legs when he gets tagged clean.
