I say yes. He went toe to toe with greats like DLH, Castillo, Corrales, Maidana, Hatton, JMM, Cotto and Pacquiao, and dominated hype jobs like Canelo, Ghost, Ortiz, Zab and Apodaca. A true champion, the peoples' champ, and a defining figure in the sport of boxing. Floyd cared about the fans, and always left it all in the ring. May he go out undefeated, or on his shield.
WAR FLOYD!!! :headbang:
The rare times when an opponent shows guts and goes hard at Floyd, he proves he is a warrior. When opponents fight like Manny and Canelo, he simply cruises to victory.
The editors of this site should create a Floyd Mayweather Master thread because this site is starting to get ridiculous with the 20 threads a day created about Mayweather.
Yeah this isn't a terrible idea
I've seen Mayweather fight hard many a time. Threads like these are ****ing stupid. Its about time boxingscene got back to talking boxing not acting like ****ing little girls. It seems in the most brutal sports the fan boys talk the most ****. Probably because they need to bring down other who do what that cannot do.
He didn't have to fight to to toe as often as other fighters on this level, and it's because he's on a different level, but when he was forced to do it, and he did it many times in his career, he rose to the occasion and got the job done, try having 72 inch reach and try fighting guys with shorter fast hands on the inside, let's see how well you'll do.
Go watch him fight Genaro Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Emanuel Augustus, Jose Luis Castillo, Demarcus Corley, Zab Judah, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto and Canelo, if u think he "ran" in these fights u don't know a damn thing about boxing and u should try watching MMA.
Floyd is not a ring warrior, that's for sure. :lol1:
- He demands advantages over his opponents in all his fights - for example it always has to be at HIS preferred weight.
- He refuses to fight anywhere except his hometown of Las Vegas.
- He needs referees like Joe Cortez and Kenny Bayless to protect him.
- He takes no risks whatsover in the ring, always going for the dull decision win.
And he made journeyman opponent Marcos Maidana wear gloves with extra padding!
The De La Hoya fight was at De La Hoyas preferred weight. The Cotto fight was at Cotto's preferred weight. All the other guys he's fought in the last few years were also welterweights with the exception of Marquez.
Half of his total career fights were outside of Vegas (24 out of 48)
26 of his 48 fights came by KO or TKO so how is he "ALWAYS going for the dull decision?"
Marcos Maidana is not a journeyman. Journeymen don't win and defend championship belts.
You just showed your ignorance with this post.

And cried in the corner during break after round 2 because of a cut so small that they wouldn't have even stopped the Emmanuel Augustus vs Floyd fight if the Drunken Master had have got it.
I don't think he gives a ****...
Either way it's whatever... Whitaker isn't really remembered as a warrior but who cares? He still remembered like one of the greats
Any fighter that steps into the ring, let alone vs world class competition, not matter the style, the guy is a warrior...
Anyone that thinks floyd isn't, has never even sparred, let alone fight world class fighters
Youre dead in the head that's for sure ROFL
Pacquaio will be remembered as A Warrior!!!!!!
Mayweather will be remembered as a cowardly, woman beating, cheating, obnoxious sack of Human Feces :Flush:
Emotions aside, at the end of day, Floyd L'd Manny and before you say slow motion, even Manny's own life time head trainer agrees Manny got L'd.
Times are still rough in Pacland.

Who is remembered as a warrior? Dudes who dropped dead in their 40s and 50s? Sonny Liston? Arturo Gatti? Edwin Valero? I'll tell you one thing they'd rather be than warriors...alive to enjoy time with their grandchildren.
