I have been study Floyd Mayweather for a very long time and there are some tricks that I noticed in more recent fights that he used to dominate his fighters.
1. Left hand flash
This is a move he did when he was younger that he uses more often now. Floyd Mayweather will lean forward and "flash" his left hook in front of the opponents face without hitting them as a feint. He used this move a ton against Canelo to get him to step back so Mayweather can walk him down and to bring his guard back to face. When he would bring his guard back to his face Mayweather would jab to his body then overtime when he begin to try to catch the body jab he would come over top with a right hand. He actually used this feint against Geurrero all night to keep him at bay all night long. When he tryed to walk down Mayweather to his inside Mayweather would quickly flash his left hand and Robert Guerrero would step back afraid that his left hand would come over his lead hand. Then when Guerrero try to paw more with his lead hand Mayweather would slap his lead down and pop him with a straight right to face. Genius!
2. Toe lean
Something so simple is so good for Money to use. I used to wonder how Mayweather could cover so much room then dart at when his opponents tryed to retaliate. One simple thing he uses is the toe lean which basically stand with his back foot on his toe. Because we tend to drop our drop our center of gravity everytime we step into punches it can be sometimes frustrating to cover distance with a jab or right hand because they sometimes miss nearly an inch short when we step through. The Toe lean counters that ...as you able to cover more room. And they best part about it is if your opponent wants to the counter all you have to do is let down on your heel and back away. If you watch the Canelo fight when Mayweather was dominating in a certain round Mayweather leaned on his toe against Canelo with his guard up. Because it appears Mayweather is closer than he actually is Canelo throws a hard left hook and Money easily dodges it by letting off his toe and the left hook misses completely. Great Move!
3. The stride
This is where Mayweather shines in his footwork. Mayweather is already a tough guy to hit since he constantly changes his rhytm by boxing one second then walking you down and constantly setting traps on the move. So of course what most fight experts believe is that if Money is in a vulnerable area of the ring then he wants you there...even though its true its not always the case. So times Mayweather will fight an opponent who can lead his opponents to the ropes constantly. See De La Hoya and Maidana fight. This is just a small move Mayweather does to cause his opponent to quickly reset. This is one giveaway to why you can tell an opponent Golovkin fights are gonna lose from the get go is the give up too much room, I know its not as easy as it looks but thats what I have noticed. If someone corals Money to the ropes by attempting to cut him off who actually does a decent job doing it,(Corrales) instead of out moving them he would simply stop and observe his opponents movements. Depending on what punch they throw he would leap laterally to his left or right making the opponent completely reset even if they didn't throw a hard punch. He did this against Cotto and Canelo who actually hit the ropes trying to stop him.
Theres my list. Anything you have noticed about Mayweather that I didn't mention?
What a bizarre post. He clearly landed a lot on Canelo and De La Hoya too especially late in the fight, and he rocked him, as he did with Cotto.
Landed almost nothing against Pacquiao? I remember 2 straight rights in the first minute of the first round that basically made Pacquiao gun shy in my opinion. Not saying he was hurt, but i believe he felt something on those shots he didn't like. The reason he basically cut Pacquiao's and most other fighters workrate by nearly half of their usual output is because of his accuracy on his counters hitting them cleanly. They might not be very hurtful, but nobody wants to take them with that accuracy. Strong guys like Canelo and Cotto would walk through Floyd if he wasn't hitting them cleanly.
I think you should find a new sport, boxing is not for you...
Perfectly explained man.
I noticed that most of Floyd's punches actually land on the opponents gloves. This is an illusory way of creating a fight. He is close enough to hit the gloves. Fans, punch counter, commentators count that as landed, but he is far enough away to be in a better position to evade return fire.
Like in the DeLahoya fight. He landed almost nothing. Mayweather hit the gloves the vast majority of the time. There wasn't the slightest blemish, mark or swelling on DeLahoya's face but fans consider that as dominating someone. The Canelo fight also. Hit the gloves, nothing punishing to Canelo. Against Pacquiao he also landed almost nothing. He is a magician at this because he fools many people.

Looooooooool. Extremely hilarious, albeit unintentional.

Lol. He does land on the face, clearly, a lot of the time, he just doesn't risk putting power until a lot of his punches. Those guys landed almost nothing on him. Canelo & Pacquiao were caught cleanly numerious times, but as I said, he doesn't put in power that snaps heads or causes cuts.

what joke? so all his ducks in the past are excused now that he fought pac(5 years too late) if he fights marg next year i guess he didn't duck him back in 2005/2006 right?
Erm, no. Because the Margarito fight wouldn't make him that much money today.
You can't say that joke anymore because you used to say it before he fought Pacquaio (the biggest payday in history) but now he has, in a fight which made him north of 200 Million so how could anyone logically say he hates money? You can't, it no longer works, I'm afraid to inform you.
So now you've resorted to using Margarito :lol1: a 4 Million loss.
It doesn't matter who he has or hasnt ducked that statment makes no sense because he's made more money in one fight than most do in their whole career. And certainly more than any fighter that's ever lived.
Who even said anything about ducking? You said he hates money despite the fact he's made the most money ever by a ridiculously wide margin. Makes sense!
Yeah, joke kinda doesn't work now he's fought Pacquaio.
But you still get an A for effort.

#1 Just sounds like a measuring check jab, but he uses it as a feint moreso
#2 Body distance deception. Sticking bait out, and reeling it back. Advanced move, but not unseen at higher level
Those are some pretty noticeable things IMO.
I like how he switches up his punch speed rhythm, throwing the same punch at different velocities and timing intervals
The ultimate fanboy thread. The SH IT is to much. Lol And the Floyd fan boys say the pac fans are crazy. The Floyd fanboys take the craziness to another level. They love this dude more than their kids, and I mean that literally. You guys are funny.
Come on now. Let's not pretend Marquez didn't become use the legendary foot stomping trick to slow Pacquiao down in the 3rd fight.
i noticed that he hates money. 4 million to fight sharmba instead of 7 million to fight margarito?
Yeah, joke kinda doesn't work now he's fought Pacquaio.

Yeah the body jab is so effective... because you cant duck under it.
One dirty trick I used in sparring one time was stick my middle kuckle on my middle finger out a little so that the front part of my outer knuckle sticks out. And because I had the cheap boxing gloves with less padding I would jab with my knuckle sticking out. Everytime I hit the guy he would cringe because it hurts so much
Or you can learn how to properly throw a jab and turn your punch over so you can make contact with the top of the knuckles...the hardest part of your hand

I noticed a long time ago that he retires when he is threatened by someone in his division
and stalls the fight till the opponent gets koed, then fights him
And I noticed in 2012 that you were just the same dummy wallowing in BS as you are today .
