Khan could undoubtedly do some serious damage to Berto in sparring, causing all sorts of injuries from broken ribs to severe concussion even while wearing head gear. Let's not forget that Khan made Ortiz quit before the 3rd round of their amateur fight, while he was wearing headgear.
Should Khan put Berto out of commission and step in as a late replacement for Cherryweather or would Cherryweather simply cancel the fight and avoid Khan again?

Guess again. Khan made Victor Ortiz quit in under 3 rounds during an amateur fight. The same Ortiz who beat Berto to a pulp.
A blindfolded Khan makes Berto quit within 2 minutes of the first round.
Ortiz didn't quit. Khan beat him by amateur stoppage on the points system.
Don't think Khan can even can put Andre Berto out of his misery in a real fight let alone in sparring. Khan is the one that has to be careful that Berto won't hurt him too much and he can't make his next fight

Khan and his fabled sparring war tales lol
Destroyed Manny Pacquiao in sparring and was competitive with 168 pounder Andre Ward. Only Khan believes his own delusional stories.
To answer the thread question, yes he should./QUOTE]
That part was a good answer.
Then he would be taking money out of his teams pockets. He just has to be patient and build this fight up. Or beat the other potential opponents in a fight and then he will get the fight...say he beats brook and/or thurman then he will have earned the shot and then there would be no way for floyd to avoid him. What if he goes and beats broner and talks sh** to mayweather about beating (ab) his lil bro, or goes after spence and beats him? But khan can easily just earn the shot and build up his fan base and pockets by just earning it.
