The most protected non-Haymon fighter easily and it looks like Eddie the Hoe-master Hearn is cut from the same cloth as Haymon, indeed it appears he is Haymon's Tranny-lieutenant.
But back to the point about Kell Brooks absolutely :peeright: resume. The guy is an embarrassment. He has a very solid win over Shawn Porter after fighting bums almost into his 30s, then nurses the belt back home fighting the JO JO Dan's of the world, then threatens to fight Rios and doesn't follow through. Also factor in the fact he cuts about 50 lbs to get down to welter and appears to be obviously on steroids and you have a Grade A fraud.
Say what you like about Amir Khan's glassy egg-shell, wet paper mache mandible (lol) but he takes on really good fighters. Manny Pac and Kovalev wipe their asses with wikipedia print out's of Kell Brooks record.
Discuss.
My friends are just casually into boxing, they know who Brook is and they like him. They actually wanted him to fight Floyd. Brook is a likeable guy and once he beat Porter, a fight that people said he'd get humiliated in, even I thought he didn't have much of a chance, he got a lot of love. I bet Brook has more fans in the US than Khan. Khan is not a very likeable guy, and it's not in a good way like he's good and people are just hating cause he's on top or something like that, the usual. It's in the worst way possible, he sucks and talks too much, loses every time he steps up. He is annoying. Could retire today and no one would care.
I thought Brook would get steamrolled but was impressed at how he tamed the bull. If there is anyone that should've got a shot at Floyd its him based on his title win against a prime and extremely dangerous Porter, that all spiralled out of control due to the knife incident leading to a recent downgrade in opponent.
I can understand why people don't like Khan in the sense he talks too much but in reality he's obviously far more down to earth. Its ridiculous to state he sucks when he is clearly more accomplished than Brook and I do not mean that in a spiteful way.
A lot of people criticise fighters on the grounds of delusion but I say that it is
believing in yourself.
As for fans well if Brook can sell seats better than Khan can in the U.S. then you will have your answer.....
Oh, no doubt about it. Fact is most UK fighters are mediocre and build up their careers with bums. Once they hit the states they either get lucky or exposed. Kelly definitely doesn't think lightning will strike twice and ran away with that title back to the UK.
I have little respect for UK fighters, they aren't really regarded as quality boxers. That's why America remains the boxing mecca, whatever happens in America is what matters. So it doesn't really matter what happens overseas.
Gennady Golovkin won his vacant tinpot WBA title outside America so I guess that doesn't count.

The truth is the future of the game is all coming out of the UK, look at the previous Olympics, no American medals, the UK stormed it and the marquee divisions of boxing, welterweight and heavyweight, are well positioned to have the UK fighters take over when klitschko and matweather step aside.

It is true most fighters are running to get an opportunity to fight In the usa. I wouldn't go as far as to insult UK fighters
Not many people know Brook but yeah I see your point .

Think Brook on his good nights is a top 3 WW, however he seems inconsistent. I honestly think Rios would give him a run for his money. Think Diego will give him a run as well.
Khan is no icon lol He's a glass jawed silver medalist. He's not even really liked. He had his chance to gain the love of the fans but Prescot shattered his egg shell mandible all over the canvas.
You're right! He boxed in the Olympic final at age 17. A remarkable achievement.
Khan is definitely an icon, he has the prime minister of England on speed dial, he also had a quiet word with Hillary Clinton and instructed her to resolve his visa issue. Amir has tremendous influence over the most powerful people in the world.
And because of the circumstances of that win: Underdog, undefeated vs undefeated, American fighter on American soil, fighting a champion and won. Brook got more love internationally than Khan will ever get in his entire career from his own country.

Khan is an icon in the UK. Both are tremendous champions, if they fight the whole world will be watching.

The Special One is the guy to beat. He is the world champion, everyone else can stay salty and pack their passport ready because the belt will remain in the UK :-)
Oh fantastic the IBF title lol Brook is no killer. He's a 185lb hype job that should be fighting at 154 at least.

Ha shut up bltch. America has zero good fighters coming through and the stars they have are all protected like ****.
What about Beyonce Wilder? Tranny Garcia? Pete...(I can't even say his name, the worst of the worst you know who I mean) Keith Thurman? Broner? All hype jobs or protected fighters.
I'm Irish so you know I am 100% unbiased, Russians and Eastern Euros have the best fighters nowadays. By far. America ain't no Mecca. Protected bums the lot of them.
