Oscar is such a baby!! Cotto set the record straight and he says he wont budge. Roc nation is the lead promoter!

The color shouldn't matter, what matters is that both show their logos on the ring. This is what happens when you have 2 divas and their teams negotiating. Back in the days, these fuckers would of fought for a dollar.
back in teh days of yore, niga.
at first i thought this was gonna be a racist thread insinuating a "black ring" with a "huge" ring because black fighters are known to move and box,lol
im sure i wasnt the only one
LOL you small minded mofcka. I'm sure you were the ONLY one, sensitive ass always playing the victim role :lol1:
Both are petty dumbasses. Over a stupid ass ring color? Pretty sad how boxing is run nowadays.
It's run like the business it is. Ring color matters becuase branding is were money is made. The swoosh is synonymous with Nike. Rocnation is trying to emulate that. I think cotto not roc are anywhere near dumbasses.

Roc Nation want the black canvas, I'm sure Cotto could give 2 fucs about it but he has to want it because of Roc Nation. Cotto is there bltch now and has to do what they want. Dont know why Oscar would care about the stupid ring color unless Canela is telling him he doesn't want to fight in a black ring.
I'm not so sure about cotto being rocs bi tch. Cotto and roc are in essence partners now. Cotto want big money and endorsements. Roc provides it. To. Wants their events to be branded with roc design. It expands their brand and this fight will be their biggest thereby elevating their prestige. Which In turn brings more and bigger and better things. Roc wants this fight roc branded and cotto is gonna help their partners obtain it. He is in the drivers seat. Win win for cotto and roc. It's hiw partnerships supposed to work.

anyone care to explain what's wrong the canvas color? why does it matter?
Black makes the coke stick out a lot more, Oscar must be using again and really paranoid people find out again. He must be with some of these demands though.
joto's ideal ring color and venue

fans must pick up a pair of pink crocs at the entrance and wear them while they watch.
PBC doesn't have the market share & critical mass of fighters to do that yet. I think PBC only gots 7 or 8 of the top 20 P4P & he gots maybe 4 divisions where he has multiple top 5 guys (& those fights are being made, Garcia vs Peterson, Santa Cruz vs Mares, Quillin vs Jacobs soon it sounds like, & 147 is deeper so having top 10, top 12 fights like Thurman vs Guerrero & Porter vs Broner are solid too) . That doesn't go far, but at one big fight a month they are doing better than anyone except HBO already it seems to me. Wait til he gots 14+ of the top 20 P4P & has multi top 5 guys in 8+ divisions.
When the UFC started they were doing tournaments with 4th rate Sumo wrestlers & unknown bar fighters. If anyone had told me back then that the UFC would eventually have monthly PPV's & have a 9 digit deal with Fox I'd have told them they were retarded. Takes time to build ****. In 2-3 years if PBC is able to get that critical mass of talent & get past these lawsuits things will look different than they look 5 months in.
UFC couldn't make GSP vs Silva and they refuse to make Rousey vs Cyborg. Boxing got May/Pac and are about to get Cotto/Canelo, one promotion is overrated.
It doesn't even make any sense to blame the guy who is opposed to the CW, then it's Oscar's issue not Cotto or Gaby.
at this point it doesnt matter who is opposed or not, oscar said is not necessary, they need to move on and stop with all this crap.. just get the darn fight signed...
yes, he said the rematch clause was one of the issues, but he also said gaby is the one who brought it up, he says he has no problem with that and can be excluded ...

Yet it wasn't done two weeks ago, Oscar brought up the rematch clause just yesterday in an article. He for some reason said the rematch was the issue and "one other thing." Funny how he didn't even say what the other thing was but thought people would go with this wanting for a rematch. Didn't work out for him either way.

De La Hoya explaining, ***8220;If the fight is a great fight, there should be no reason why we shouldn***8217;t do it again.***8221;
***8220;It***8217;s close, but this fight should***8217;ve been done two weeks ago. ***8230; If that***8217;s what***8217;s holding up everything, we can take it out,***8221; De La Hoya said of the rematch clause. ***8220;It***8217;s no big deal. ***8220;Cotto probably doesn***8217;t even know what***8217;s going on,***8221; De La Hoya said. ***8220;All we***8217;re waiting for is Gaby***8217;s answer.
***8220;The devil***8217;s in the details. We need the percentage of the winner ,***8221; De La Hoya said. ***8220;We have all the sponsors lined up. We***8217;re tracking some great numbers.
