So how does a guy go from being a brawler... To being a defensive master using the "shoulder roll" all over a period of 3 months??
Andre Berto maybe?
I know in movies things happen fast, but that would be like Pacquiao using the shoulder roll as Jinkee feels hes taking to much punishment.
The script was probably written by some dumbass Floyd fan who thinks the shoulder roll is the ultimate defensive technique and any one who knows it will go on to win.
I really can't see a guy just picking up a defensive manuver like that and winning the biggest fight of his career with just 6 weeks to train.
GO SOUTHPAW ON HIS AZZ THO.
It's all Floyd's fault!

Have yet to see the movie, but was there any mention of an amateur career before the dude turned pro?
Simple fix could be that the dude was showing promise as an amateur, felt that he needed to take the leap to pro for his family, and developed the face first style to draw notice. With his life on the line, he reverts back to the roots of the style that he started off with.
Another funny thing is a guy who fights orthodox almost his whole career learns not only the shoulder roll but also how to fight out of southpaw stance all in only 2 months.
That's what I wanted to know... know that he actually fights outta the southpaw stance, ill go see it.....

Alright **** it, I'm gonna watch the movie at some point. How bad could it be? I sat through Trolls 2, The FP, and The Room, I think I can deal with Southpaw.
