What is with HBO's obsession with showing boxer's wives/girlfriend....

what is with HBO's obesession with showing boxer's wives/girlfriend. they showed kovalev's wife tonight (she's pretty hot). i dont know if this was the first time or not. i remember in the past they showed... shantal jackson wearing some super skanky outfit. cotto's wife multiple times. pac's wife multiple times bradley's wife carl froch's wife wlad/vitali klitschko's girlfriend/wife donaire's wife margarito's wife mosley's ex-wife they even show boxer's wives at the worst possible moment like when... hatton's wife crying while hatton just got KTFO by pac pac's wife crying while pac just got KTFO by marquez.. im sure there are others that i missed... it seems like HBO only show boxer's wives on television if they look hot...(except bradley's wife)

Why the hell are you complaining about showing families... It's part of the drama, and they are usually hot... Are you one of the posters that keeps complaining about ring card girls being shown Now that I've seen a good amount if pbc shows I realize that's what they're lacking. The presentation is just vanilla, fights haven't been great either but, a better package would greatly aid them.

It promotes their fighters by letting the audience get to know a little more about their lives, adds stakes to their fights by showing us that they have loved ones who are very invested in the fight, and gives HBO something to talk about in between rounds.
