Why not Ward vs Hopkins?

this genuinely might be the most boring fight of all time :lol1: you thought ishe smith and carlos molina was bad :lol1: those two are so innacurate with their punches that they can at least hit eachother by accident. ward and hopkins would slick their way around the ring and do absolutely nothing. ward might maul him on the inside and make it even uglier that bernard "slow the fight down" hopkins would care for :lol1:

Hopkins probably doesn't want to fight Andre Ward because he remind's him of a younger version of himself in a way. I don't think its because he's black. Hop has fought black fighters before. Dawson, Pascal (Haitian/Canadian though) and Roy all in the last few years. :boxing:yep..

I like Hopkins but father time caught up with him. He looked all of 50 against Kov. Time to call it quits on his HOF career

Sure sounds great.......The Insomnia Championship of the World! The two most boring fighters in the world today against each other, great! Wlad could ref and Mayweather be the one and only judge! You can hold it in a gym because no one would pay to see it!

the fight sucks, and hopkins doesn't deserve to walk into another bout with a top opponent after the showing against kovalev. ward has better options than that at 168 lbs

Hopkins has already gone on record saying he'd never fight Andre Ward. Hmm well everyone seems fixated on GGG as an opponent. That fight doesnt seem to be materializing. So who else is there? Dont see any speculation around here on potential opponents other than Kovalev/GGG. Jeff Lacy maybe? :thinking:

No one in the world would want to see that. Hopkins just came off a decisive lose and Ward is try to come back from a large lay off proving he is still a P4P fighter. Also it would be a very boring fight! For fun, I'll say Hopkins could win. He isn't a fighter to be toyed with or be seen as the less dirty/rugged fighter. He would probably make Ward show a lot of holes on his inside game. Hopkins by SD.
