Kovalev has made it clear it's getting harder and harder for him to make 175lbs. now the Ward Vs Kovelev fight could be made for later this year but it seems Ward is more interested in stalling.
He's calling out GGG who has made it clear he plans to unify the middleweight division, plus he has no interest in meeting the demands placed for Team GGG to postpone those plans.
So basically Ward is waiting it out, probably plans to fight another tune up later this year and will claim the only reason he hasn't moved up to fight Kovalev is because he doesn't plan to move back down once he moves up, which is complete bull****.
Then when Kovalev struggles in a fight do to the weight, Ward will magically be ready to fight at 175.
And he keeps going :lol1:

Give up Dirk, you quitted in The dressing room. Pre-fight KTFO!!!
I'd probably have it closer to A- versus B. I'll agree that Froch can be overrated at times (I personally had voted no to the poll asking if he should be in the HOF), and think that Geale's resume going into his fight with GGG is underrated, but I feel there's a pretty clear line separating Froch from Geale. No one would doubt that Froch would be GGG's best win if they had fought.
I know I was just trolling with that one.
But here's the real, posters want GGG to move up to fight Ward than back down to middleweight.
But why can't Ward move up to Light Heavy fight Kovalev than move down to 168.
There's no argument that can made why. GGG has to fight Ward now and then the Cotto Canelo winner
But Ward can't fight Kovalev first, GGG second.
Does that make sense?
Lol, serious question can you prove it. I mean Froch is better in my opinion but he's like B+ to Geales B.
But I would have to see both men fight to figure who is better.
When Froch fought an A class fighter he was throughly beaten, when Geale fought one he was knockout.
Geale fought a good close fight with Darren. Darren gave Martinez a good fight.
He beat Strum in Germany, and i rate Strum over Abraham.
And he keeps going :lol1:

Elite competition is also a opinion. Who is to say Froch is any better than Geale. Both men where #2 in their respective divisions.

Sig worthy
Froch beat Kessler, Pascal, Bute, Abraham, Dirrell, Groves, Taylor etc. and only lost a very close one to Kessler and then to Ward.
Geale has beat Sturm...and Mundine. And he lost to Darren Barker and quit against Cotto :lol1:
It's hilarious that you've resorted to this. Geale is very average and was never the consensus #2 like Froch was.
So who was the consensus #2 at Middleweight.
Dudes are in fear for Golovkin's 0 out here. Ward and Triple Joke have similar fight night weights, Kovalev weighs 188-189 in his fights. It's more of a match to make Ward-GGG right now. Kovalev would be bigger than Ward by a good 10lbs on FN, Ward would have 3-4lbs on GGG.
it really is something to see the agendas manifest. i love golovkin and ward. they might be my two favorite fighters not named floyd, manny, miguel, etc,
i don't let my love for them dictate the terms of my boxing fandom. that's what a fanboy does.
Geale best win Strum
Froch best win Kessler.
Now are you going to pretend that Kessler resumes blows Strums resumes out the water.

Kvalev is not a growing teenager. He is fully and completely grown and he will not grow a single ounce bigger. He may have trouble making 175 but it shouldn't be any harder to do in years to come. He will continue to fight very well at 175 and Ward will never dare fight him. Ward may move to 175 but he will fight other light heavyweights and avoid Crusher.
So I guess they are talking with Duva about a potential Ward vs Kovalev fight just for joke. Because it's a funny thing to do.
C'mon you can't be that stupid.. Can you?

That's not true at all. Once he moves up it is logical for him to fight Kovalev pretty soon. Kovalev is the man at 175 and that fight seems more likely than Kov-Stevenson.
