Following his loss to Mayweather, if Pacquiao had chosen Berto as a comeback / tune-up opponent would you consider Berto to be too low a level opponent for Pacquiao to fight, or would he be about the right level opponent for Pacquiao to face in a comeback fight?
Pac doesnt even need a tuneup in my opinion. Its not like he took any punishment in the Floyd fight.
Once his shoulder is 100% I'd like to see him have a strong training camp and jump right into a fight with Khan.
Algieri is a much more horrible opponent than Berto so Berto would be a step up from Pacquiao's last W.
This is absolutely true. I get hating on Floyd is a passion for some here on NSB, especially the TS,. Andre Berto may be nothing right now, but his nothing is much more than Algieiri at his apex.

Brandon Rios has probably been the worst fighter Pacquiao has faced in almost 15 years and even he was just a fight removed from being a world title holder and one the top guys at 140lb.
Pacquiao doesn't really do easy fights, even when coming back from losses or injuries so yes, Berto wouldn't even be pn the Pacquiao map. If he does come back, I fully expect him to face Matthysse, Brook, Khan, Garcia, Crawford or Provodnikov at some stage in 2016. There won't be any Berto's or Ortiz's for him.
It's true, even Rios beats Berto comfortably and Algieri would school him pretty easily.
Berto isn't a world beater but he's not a pushover either. What makes you think either of those guys walks through Berto?
Pac hasnt fought a low level guy like Berto for years even after coming off of loss to JMM.
But Floyd can fight who he wants, but he just has to stop going on about people will criticise him no matter what he does. Frankly, Floyd don't care, and I think im getting to the point where im past caring as well.

hahahahaha can't believe floyd fighting berto. and floyd farts had the guts to criticize pac's fight against undefeated world champion rocky story algieri.
no way to defend floyd vs berto.
Lol.. fair play bro
Mayweather gave Canelo the opportunity, I want to see Pacquiao give a strong young fighter the opportunity.
I guess the Bradley fight(s) never happened. But ofcourse Pacquiao will fight another young lion, he's always taking these guys' O's.
And cool for Khan to fight Algeri after Manny dropped him 6 times
Nobody said that was cool, he got loads of criticism for it.
Anyway, on topic, Pacquiao should come back against Crawford or someone good not a lame Berto-level fighter.
It'll likely be a really boring fight with neither throwing much, Berto probabley doesn't touch Floyd the entire fight barring some jabs. Excellent fight.
It's cool for GGG to fight Rubio and Monroe...
It's cool for Cotto to fight Geale...
It's cool for Kovalev to fight Mohammadi...
It's cool for Danny Garcia to fight Paulie Malinaggi...
But it's not cool for a 38 year old Mayweather to fight Andre Berto in his final retirement bout on free TV?
Why so many piss drinking hypocrites on this site?
We know Berto is not pound for pound material. However, I could have sworn Mayweather just WON the FIGHT OF THE CENTURY.
If anyone deserves a light touch it's Mayweather...
He has nothing else to prove. He dominated every division he's ever fought in.
When he was at 130 the consensus best was Diego Corrales.
When he was at 135 the consensus best was JC Castillo.
When he was at 140 the consensus best was Ricky Hatton.
When he was at 147 the consensus best was Pacquiao and before that Mosley and Cotto.
When he was at 154 the consensus best was Canelo and before that De La Hoya.
Mayweather BEAT them all.

Laughable. The only fight on this list that even compares to Mayweather-Berto is Kovalev-Mohammedi.

I can guarantee Manny will come back and fight a champion in a division or a top 5 guy if not #1 contender. Not some throw back journeyman club fighter.
WAR BERTO doe...
Like Mike Alvarado? Pac will not sack up and fight a true threat in his comeback fight.
Mayweather gave Canelo the opportunity, I want to see Pacquiao give a strong young fighter the opportunity.
Pac should fight Keith Thurman in his comeback fight. That is fair. And would still not be as impressive as Floyd fighting Canelo.
His loss to Mayweather is to be taken lightly imo. He was not able to get off. He was hesitant due to Mayweathers counters. When he did get to Maywestger he was sharp and did some good work. Berto would get absolutely battered. Its not a good tune up for Manny. He doesn't need one, whether he was injured or not.
Are you ****ed? Algieri would humiliate berto. Berto got killed by karrass, get off your knees already.
I doubt it Blanco. They are about the same level fighters which is good enough to compete with Khan
