Canelo is still young enough to change his style and habits,so how would he do with a different trainer? I think that any of these trainers would improve him by alot
Freddy Roach
Robert Garcia
John David Jackson

if he goes with virgil hunter he will take the worst beating of his life like everyone else have when they went with that bum ass trainer.
Hunter doesn't know how to work with offense oriented fighters, his advice on the ring is terrible and he integrates clinching too heavily. I still remember "let those gifted hands fly", great advice Virgil. I think he is severely overrated.
Canelo is G-level= garbage level
most Mexicans call him an over hype televisa BUM product I found it strange here in the states many think he is good. I was talking to a guy who lives in Mexico and he told me everyone knows Canelo is not that great meh it is what it is
Canelo doesn't know how to cut off the ring. He doesn't do well against boxers. And he's also flat footed. Don't know who would be a good trainer for him, but he does need a change indeed.
I like nacho or that one dude who trained cotto for Floyd.
Pedro Diaz is a beast ass trainer. Cotto looked nice under him. Just that his comp level was much better than what he's going against nowdays.
Nacho is too technical..nobody wants to turn Canelo into a counter puncher...he seems.Seems To be doing fine as is, hell, his only loss was to an ATG, where he got outclassed..no shame in that..
Yeah but if can learn to pace him self like Marquez and learn some of that timing and boxing style nacho teaches it could be good for him.

Please have alittle respect and change your sig. Kirkland isn't as bad as the gifs make him out to be.. He would've done better with Ann in his corner. Good quality gifs doe..
As for Canelo's trainer, imo he should train with Abel Sanchez and copy GGG style.

Before thinking about a move anywhere, for any fighter, two simple questions need to be answered:
-What are the holes in the fighter's current game?
-What does the the prospective trainer coach that closes up the suspected holes but doesn't open up new holes?
none of the names mentioned "fix" what Canelo is missing (having issues with fighters who move on him and fading down the stretch in fights; 8-12 you see a pace drop off)
He's a very good fighter as is, and won't lose to many guys outside of Mayweather.
He's got good skills, good timing, his hands are fast, he counters well, he's got big power and he's physically strong...another trainer could add some new improvements, but he's already a very good fighter.
