Lol. It was his second professional fight against a belt holder. With a corrupt judge, an opponent who intentionally came in overweight, and low blows being thrown like no other.
You won't see Lomachenko get embarrassed by Rigondeaux like Canelo did by Floyd (lol at winning only 1-2 rounds despite outweighing Floyd by 15~ pounds). Remind me again how many professional fights did Canelo have before he fought for a belt? Oh, 37 of them...
Wake me up when Canelo decides to fight GGG. He should take a page out of Lomachenko's book. Willing to fight top level opponents from the start. Hopefully Golovkin won't be 50 years old before Canelo finally grows to middleweight size (I hope he'll be more than his typical 175~ fight night weight and more around 190).
Canelo fought the whole 154.
Mayweather
Trout
Lara
Angulo
Kirkland
Cotto up next.
That's not willing too fight everybody?
When Loma gets his a$$ kicked people will cry that he was too damn young, which he is. Dude needs more fights before you put him in there with wolves who will feast on him. How the fuk can you pick that fight over Cotto/Canelo, two proven big time boxers with that PR/Mex rivalry? Common people, don't look like fools.
You need to reevaluate things. There is literally no one at 126 besides maybe Walters that has a chance against Loma... So tell me again how someone with so few fights is able to already inspire fear in his division? That's right, he has two olympic gold medals and is an athletic freak of nature, just like Rigo...
I applaud this fight happening now before Rigo gets too old.
There is more pure athletic and boxing talent in the ring of a Loma/Rigo fight, than even in the wildest imaginations of Cotto or Canelo...
Cotto/Canelo is a very fan friendly and entertaining fight, and I look forward to it... but it's not on the same level of Loma/Rigo... Loma/Rigo I believe is unprecented(two, two-time olympic gold holders facing off)... And hell, you can even add the black and white rivaraly if you're into that sort of thing... A super athletic talented white guy(how often do you even see that in boxing?!) vs a super athletic black guy... But unlike Floyd, Rigo is stand up dude who doesn't engage in that fa**ot materialistic rap sh*t... Rigo is a real man... and so is Loma... Both guys are "good" guys...
This is a fight about boxing supremacy, about who can come out on top at the highest level...
I really hope Loma/Rigo is a PPV... This is the type of exposure boxing needs, IMO... If you can't get excited about a fight where boxing itself is taken to it's highest limit, i dunno man.
im personally more excited for rigo loma, i wont be able to sleep for days before that fight and will rewatch it tons of times after
Indeed... Professional fighters will be studying this fight for years to come.
Cotto-Canelo is like a good reliable steak pie, guaranteed to satisfy.
Rigo-Loma is like a fine dining experience. Could be brilliant, could be boring as hell.
I think im more interested by Rigo-Loma. Its very rare to have that quality in the same ring. I have no idea if there will drama or not.
But Cotto-Canelo gives me a boner.

loma fighting for a belt on his second fight was a joke if you want to talk about corruption, canelo was a lot younger than loma when became a champion on a fight that was also a joke... and to talk about floyd-canelo and not mention his age and weight was so convenient, but still floyd and rigo are on different levels, you wont see floyd go to canvas by the hands of some random asian guy...

easily cotto/canelo... more important event, more important fight. we need canelo to win.
people are seriously seeing waaaaaay too much in rigo...
his chin is fragile and he will be touched much more and much more easily by loma... not to mention its at 126.. that chin will not hold up.
once rigo gets dominated, you'll feel silly thinkin it's significance was being compared to nelo cotto.
both
cotto canelo is a bigger fight and more likely to end in a ko
rigo vs loma is the ultimate pure boxer match up,
im personally more excited for rigo loma, i wont be able to sleep for days before that fight and will rewatch it tons of times after
i think cotto canelo is more likely to have drama involved
but i can see loma or rigo stepping it up and taking more risks if they are in serious danger of losing
of course not, you wont see him defeated by the salidos of the world...
canelo will be boxings face for the next years, loma not so much...
and by the way canelo already defeated a prime highly skilled olympic gold medalist, so he doesnt have to be like loma, he fights for the fans not for the W, if he had lomas style he wouldnt be as popular...

Canelo isn't turning into Lomachenko in two years or ten years.
Cotto's had a great career. If he wasn't so intent on spending this latter part of it defending middleeweight titles below 160 I'd be more interested in it.

In a world where the boxing gods are kind just and loving we get rigo/Loma as chief supporting under card bout.
Of cotto v Canelo? If so that would be epic.
Best ppv in a very long time. Probably this milinium
Rigo v loma
I know cotto will beat Canelo so not as Interested.
So rigo is more Interesting of the two. I think rigo will win but it's an intriguing fight
