How would boxing be different if
1. There was no holding or clinching in any way or form. 1 clinch equals 1 point deducted. 2nd clinch equals another ooint deducted. 3rd time DQ.
No exceptions ?
2. How would boxing be different if there were no rounds and just a 36 minute
countdown clock,no breaks.

1. Clinching has always been a part of boxing, and it always will be. Engaging in non stop action isn't as easy as it sounds. Of course excessive clinching is another story.
2. This idea is a total non starter. It wouldn't be good for the fighters or the fans.

Surprised everyone got up in arms about #1 and not #2. 36 minutes straight would be beyond exhausting for a good number of boxers, and might make them more hesitant with the odds of punching yourself out being much higher.
I too am frustrated with the almost relentless clinching I've seen in some fights. I love Klitschko but by god that fight with Povetkin was borderline unwatchable.
Would mean there would be no Archie Moore, Jersey Joe Walcott, Muhammed Ali, Julio Cesar Chavez, and dozens more ATG's who knew how to clinch and work on the inside. I enjoy the inside battle so no, I'm not feeling that.
Ha-ha, if there were no breaks in between rounds, their would be even more clinching,
Fighters would get tired easier and just begin holding each other more and fights would just easily get boring.
And also, with no breaks in between, fights would get stopped faster as their would be no cornermen to help with fighter's cuts & bruises.
And that would take away from lots of potentially great fights as fighters get cuts and bumps many times.
In that world, Manny Pacquiao would still get easily out pointed by Floyd Mayweather if that's what you're asking.
No.i wanna really know what people think as fans if the format was different .
We can all agree all refs are different. All judges are different .unlike the nfl and nba which have penalties and rules .
In those leagues the rules are the rules.
you dont see 4 pass interference calls go by one ref and the next week the other ref calls 6 of them cause its his style .
