It's as if he just decided to quit the sport all of a sudden. He sat there, casually thought about it and then said.... "No mas."
Quit like it was cool...
What people don't care about is fighter's lives after boxing, if u feel u r getting hit with too many shots, dazed, weak and can't fight back why not just quit? It's better to take a punch too less than a punch too many, one punch can end ur career and maybe ur life, u have to make sure that u live to fight another day to be able to provide for yourself and for ur family and have all ur faculties working after u retire, screw the fans, they won't pay ur bills or heal u if u get ur brain scrambled, screw the pride, screw the critics, screw everything. U only live once.
Along with Holyfield, I think Morales is one of boxing's true warriors. I think in this fight he was just drained to the point where he knew he couldn't continue and could not be in the fight at all. Morales had three fights with Pacquiao and gave him hell for most of those fights. Morales is the same guy who was probably done around 2005 and still came back years later and fought guys like Cano, Maidana, and Garcia and gave them all hell. Was almost gonna fight Mathysse, even. That's a warrior right there. One of my all time favorites. Skills, heart; they don't make em like this anymore.

He was definitely finished by then. Losing to Raheem told me all I needed to know. He shouldn't have gone back down in weight for the rematch.
It was a cash grab.
Much respect. He knew he did not have it that night and said fck this...
he needed some water on his balls.
