But i see hardly anyone mentioning it,Imagine if it was Floyd and he was hurt like that and the ref stopped the fight like that. Man the site would crash
Man if it were Floyd corruption would be thrown around like left hooks from Tito..The announcers would have been much harder on the ref and the media would be killing Floyd.
calm yourself, will ya? the media wouldn't kill floyd, they'd attack the ref...his opponent would make enough headlines and a rematch would take place thereafter. The real question is, do you think what happened would warrant Bradley giving Vargas a rematch?
Plus, Bradley could have taken a knee and burned out the clock like he did against Ruslan and still won.
Vargas would have had to land the same shot just to put Bradley down, but Bradley still would have gotten up.
What if it was the 12th round of Mayweather-Pacquiao and Manny had Floyd hurt?
That **** show would go both ways. We'd still be hearing about Pacquiao being a ***** for not accepting the loss.
Also worth considering, the way Vargas threw his whole weight in, that punch would have been harder than Mosley round two probably. Even in that fight he buckled, but not to the extent Bradley had in this one. It would be a new situation for Floyd but it feels more par the course for Bradley after how many times he was rocked against Ruslan.
But I get where you're coming from Larry, even though Bradley had regained his senses and was in no way approaching a stoppage, it is fair for Vargas to feel frustrated with how this was handled by the ref. I hope they don't rule it a no contest though.
What if it was the 12th round of Mayweather-Pacquiao and Manny had Floyd hurt?
Honestly, what would you have said? Called it a "no contest"?

Man i like Bradley, but if that had been Floyd they would be outrage...#FACTS
Floyd would be hugging the opponent and wouldn't let go until the ref calls the fight over ..... #FACTS

What if it was the 12th round of Mayweather-Pacquiao and Manny had Floyd hurt?
Than the Manny clan would be in full uproar and the Floyd fan boys would be in straight defensive mode.
The only way it would have mattered is that Manny would have had a chance on the score cards, he didn't because the judges ha no intent on relating him the winner that . A knockdown would have been possible but a knockout is highly unlikely.
I think the ref actually harmed Bradley by his mistake. If he had not stopped the fight early Bradley would have lasted the stinking 8 seconds standing up and nobody could say he might have been knocked out.
The referee made an honest mistake but I don't think it changed anything. Vargas had 8 seconds to hit Bradley so hard that Bradley stayed down for the full count. It's my understanding of the rules that you still have to beat the ten count even after the final bell. A second knock down would not be enough to win Vargas the fight since Bradley was so far ahead on points. He had to put Bradley down for the full count to win. When the referee waved the fight off Bradley had somewhat recovered and was holding Vargas and seemed to know what to do. There is no doubt in my mind that if the ref had not stopped the fight early Vargas would not have landed a KO punch in those 8 seconds so there is nothing for me to be outraged about. Vargas never hit Bradley with anything hard in the 50 seconds between the time he knocked Bradley down and the time the ref called the fight off. Vargas is trying hard to get the results changed but they won't change anything nor should they.
Exactly,Ruslan had him doing back flips in the 1st round
he was hurt, clearly, but it wasnt a knockdown, he was stunned but still on his feet, than ruslan pushed the back of his head down
Don't think Vargas could've finished him, but dont agree with the ref's ability to say "never mind" lets go to the cards.
Fact is the fight was waved of after Bradley took a solid shot and got in really bad shape, Vargas was going for the kill with 10-7 seconds left, and the ref waived it off.
That there tells you it's a stoppage win. But then ref comes back and says "never mind" it was my mistake, so now HE SAYS HE MEANT THE FIGHT IS COMPLETED, and they go to the scorecards.
I DON'T AGREE WITH THAT
The first one was his mistake and that should've been it, the rules are clear, and it was a stoppage win for Vargas, he can't come back and say "never mind" on this kind of situation,
The first waive off, that was the refs mistake not Vargas, so that should've been final, and the ref should not be allowed to say "never mind" and so he had to live with his mistake. .
It's ridiculous to let a ref come back and and change his mind especially on this kind case of having 7seconds to try and get a KO on a wobbly fighter. It's not right.
Just as the fighters
You have to hold the refs accountable and held to their standards.
If Vargas had almost knocked Floyd you would come on here and claim Vargas is an A+ fighter and the future of boxing too make Floyd win that much more impressive over him.
What if it was the 12th round of Mayweather-Pacquiao and Manny had Floyd hurt?
The rules of boxing were not followed...it's as simple as this. In retrospect the commission needs to declare the fight a NC and take back the belt. When Tyson beat Golota the commission declared it a NC after the fight because of Tyson testing for marijuana...the rules of boxing were not followed so what is the difference here? Who is to say with 2 seconds left on the clock that Vargas wouldn't have pulled off a Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao KO? Bradley was already obviously hurt and it should not be left to speculation.
also, I think the fight should have been ruled a "no contest". If the ref stops the fight without the reason of protecting a fighter or the like--it should be a no contest. It doesn't matter what's happening in the fight. It's like the Taylor/Chavez fight. The job is to protect the fighter no matter what the clock says.
So, if he stopped it just because--no contest
But i see hardly anyone mentioning it,Imagine if it was Floyd and he was hurt like that and the ref stopped the fight like that. Man the site would crash
Dude, do you watch boxing and just day dream about Floyd and how to incorporate him into conversations?
I can see asking "where's the outrage?"
But doesn't always have to be about Floyd with you. Sheesh
Same scenario. If GGG was getting schooled for 11 rounds and 2:50 of the final round, he deserves to lose. Almost knocking down a guy with 10 seconds remaining doesn't cut it.
Have you turned fully retarded? Of course it matters especially if it was Golovkin.
There's no outrage because everybody knows Vargas won.
WAAAAAAAAAAR VAAAAAAAARGAS!!!!!!
AND STILL UNDEFEATED!!!!! :boxing:
