Whatever it was, it f*ked up the night. Always some piece of sh*t on a boxing night. Meanwhile on the UFC front...better action same night. Boxing is not going to win this battle. These stuff just keep happening and people just smirk it off.
Common sense bro. A young, undefeated Mexican American fighter or a declining black former world champion in his early 30s?
If you were a promoter who would you want to win?
Just got to say that Bradley was extremely lucky, twice now this ref has got his back whenever he was hurt lol, he should get him into his camp full time.
I heard he later apologized to Vargas after the fight and said it was a mistake and that he was going to retire.
damn pat russell is a fine referee, shame he had to go out like this.
If this had been Mayweather and the ref did this,i think peoples tunes would be totally different
That's true but let's just admit it
Bradley seems harmless and lovable and Floyd seems very slimy
Case dismissed
If this had been Mayweather and the ref did this,i think peoples tunes would be totally different
Mayweather has nothing to do with it, it would be nice if for once we could discuss a fight without him being brought up.
Bradley had control of the situation and knew what he was doing, even if he had to take a knee he'd of bought enough time to survive and still would of won the fight, everyone could see that clearly.
The ref just dropped a bollock and made a mistake, nothing more and nothing less.
Honest mistake. With all do respect to Bradley he's never been the kind of fighter who draws enough money to warrant questions about corruption. Now if Bradley was Chavez jr from a few years ago I'd be singing a different tune.
I'd understand if he just stopped it on the clapper and nothing was happening.
The fact that Bradley was on queer street and stumbling all over the place badly hurt makes it more fishy.
Then on top of that, he was the same ref in the Provo fight.....
Mistake for sure, and respects to him for giving Max that interview after the fight clearly admitting he fuked up. Other refs would of ran out of there.
that ref just sucks like most of them do
good refs are rarer than good fighters, by the time they've made enough of a name for themselves to ref big fights a lot of them are too old to keep track of what's going on
incompetence or corruption...the great boxing question. when bradley was falling everywhere and falling into the ropes against prov pat russell was busy doing his taxes or something. in this fight he was hearing bells in his head when bradley was badly hurt. soon you will have people saying pat russel is one of boxing best refs just like kenny bayless even though he keeps fu-cking up.
