Tehe 2 greatest examples of this are the Klitschko brothers.
In the heftiest (by weight+height), highest quality (by participation+records) and most athletically+skill refined (by virtue of being the latest) era of HW's in history, they have taken the best of the best and completely dominated them like never before in the history of boxing.
Of course Pac and to some extent Mayweather also have achieved some similar style of success at lower weights, albeit with far more debatable struggles, but given their opponents are roughly the same size, it's similarly impressive.
One can point to other fighters from the past of course but those were all bum opponents mostly.
Floyd vs everyone he's faced since 2009
Floyd lost that first fight to Maidana (it was close).
Every fighter who has fought Broner since Maidana has made him look ordinary... Even when he won.
And, Devon made Maidana look ordinary
Harold Johnson vs;
Ezzard Charles
Willie Pastrano
Eddie Machen
Nino Valdez
Archie Moore 5 (until he got stopped)
Jimmy Bivins
Monzon-Griffith
Dick Tiger-Gene Fullmer 3
Roy Jones-James Toney
Benitez-Cervantes
Benitez-Duran
Tyson - Spinks is the one that comes to mind more than others.
Some of these listed are good choices but some were still fairly competitive, but this fight was something else. He made Spinks look like a bum, as if Tyson was moving up the ranks and he was brought in as cannon fodder, like a Wilder opponent, which couldn't be further from the truth.
come on man, uve never watched that fight? Then how do u know nelson and gomez* looked ordinary? doesnt make sense.....
100% biased.
I don't know, that's why I asked a question guy. Did you conveniently miss the question mark after the statement or do you always fail to pay attention to detail?
AHh yes Gomez, sorry never seen the fight. I talk alot of boxing outside of NSB with guys 20 years my senior to get the assessment on fighters before my time, sometimes. That's why I didn't say it with certainty.
Thanks for the clarification though.

He didn't fight Benitez. You mean Wilfredo Gomez I assume.
He didn't really make them look ordinary, especially not Nelson. But he did stop both.
Whereas he struggled badly with Pat Cowdell from Smethwick.

I forgot to add Foreman-Frazier
And Trout -Cotto.
And didn't Sanchez make Nelson and Benitez look ordinary?

floyd when he fought JMM. i remember trying to convince people at the house after that fight that JMM is a straight up 1st ballot-HOFer ... but what floyd had just done to him ... well only a special fighter can make JMM look like that.
