lets no act like broner didnt put a hurting on chino in that fight,he hit him with a very hard shot in the end of the 11th round that had chino wobbling and stunned and rmember that he was hurting chinos body to,madena said himself that broner was tagging and hurting him CONSTANTLY,this is very important to remember/
They call this revisionists history.
His hands were down after the bell had already rung.
1. He doesn't even beat Porter, I can't even assume that. I would be surprised if he fought to a draw vs Malignaggi (IMO), lost to Maidana in pretty humiliating fashion, but then beats Porter?
2. No he doesn't beat Maidana.
Only if Maidana has gone off the rails completely and let himself go.
Broner doesn't seem to have learned a thing since his loss. No defense, stays in the pocket, stays static.
A guy with poor foot-work and leaky defense will always struggle against a guy like Maidana.
I think a lot depends on when the rematch occurred. If it were Chinos first fight back after a long lay off and the supposed big weight gain I think Broner could beat him. Inactivity kills. If chino takes a fight before I'd favor him to beat Broner again. Broner was thoroughly dominated but had moments in their fight. But he hasn't shown me any spectacular change to say he could handle a well prepared Maidana.
Broner's best moment came in round 11 when he hurt Maidana, unfortunately taht punch was thrown after the round ended & bell sounded.
Yet to see any improvements in Broner's game, this Saturday will tell us more as Porter will definitely be aggressive like Maidana.

Maidana is pretty fat right now, he will need to fight a tune up then we will see.
Also lets see how Broner handles Porter, I still voted no though. I don't think Broner can beat Maidana.
It is pretty hard to say that Maidana will have the same aggression and fire that he showed in that first Broner fight. He showed it in the first Floyd fight but not really the second.
The thing with Broner is him being mouthy, his mouth could give Maidana that extra fire when he should really just let Maidana be mellow and not get him fired up. Normally a pro athlete should not need extra motivation but boxing is funny like that.
He could because Maidana doesn't seem to give a f*ck anymore. Who knows if he'd be the same guy or not?
He's been on a long long layoff since the Floyd rematch + he's already training just to cut weight..which has to be a good thing considering his next fight hasn't even been announced. He'll come back fresher, it's not like Floyd hurt him or anything in the 2 fights.
No. Adrien is way too stationary to cause Maidana problems and Maidana would out hustle and out muscle Adrien again, just like the first fight. That's my thoughts.
Broner definitely beats Maidana at a catch weight of 144+rehydration clause. Maidana got married recently & enjoying life+is heavy as hell right now. Assuming Broner gets past Porter, the Maidana rematch at catch weight would be the best move for him.
If Maidana is the same fighter then he dominates again.
Broner's terrible footwork, leaky defence and lack of power at 147 are all big problems, not to mention he can't handle Maidana's power.
Unless blowing up in weight has badly affected Maidana, the outcome would be the same.
didn't vote
Marcos Maidana has been out of the ring so long (and has seemingly packed on so much weight), that it'll be unclear how much fight he actually shows up with.
Assuming he can get back to the form that he had for the Mayweather fights, he likely still wins the rematch, for the simple fact that Broner refuses to use his legs and work his flow on offense, instead preferring to just trying to set his feet and fight exclusively out of Floyd's Philly Shell.
Maidana swarms the **** out of him, breaking down Broner late, likely forcing someone to save Broner.
Has Broner improved since then? Has Maidana declined? The answer is no to both.
Can't say much about Maidana, he's been off for a year and he ballooned in weight, if he comes back and fights broner right off the bat he will lose, he needs a couple of tune ups

We don't know if Chino has declined. However, he's living very comfortably and would probably need a tune-up before Broner.
