A BRITISH boxing champ tried to sell his Commonwealth Games winner’s belt on eBay to raise funds to join Islamic State, a jury heard.

The former British and Commonwealth light middleweight champion began to sell items including his title belt, five pairs of boxing gloves, head gear and bespoke ring boots in the run up to the flit, jurors heard.

I guessed from the title that this was Anthony Small. It's a shame that a religion ruined his career, he was shaping up to be quite a character in the sport but religions poisoned his mind and led him away. I can remember similar things happening to a few Irish boxers with the IRA.
Anthony has fallen in with a group of extremists who convinced him that boxing is somehow negative when in reality it has kept lots of people off the streets, out of jail, and focused on a positive ambition. How many times have we heard boxers say that boxing saved their life.
Hope Small breaks away from the people who he's surrounded by right now, they are ultimately going to destroy him. If he wants to be religious it's better to surround yourself with moderate, open-minded religious people rather than a gang of extremists.
