CHELSEA have KO'd Tyson Fury's hopes of facing Wladimir Klitschko at Stamford Bridge in October.
The Premier League champions have ruled out the possibility of the world heavyweight title fight taking place at their stadium during the season after the possibility was discussed.
Manchester's 6ft 9in unbeaten Fury, 26, is the mandatory challenger for Ukrainian Klitschko's WBA and WBO titles.

Why do they keep talking about it like it was ever an option, Fury can not sell sh1t when it comes to tickets. His Chisora Manchester 2 fight was cancelled and they had to sell it on the back of Saunders vs Eubanks Jr. Then we had the two failed Haye fights which were speculated with poor ticket sales too. When he fought Chisora in London last year fans walked out in disgust before the end out of boredom.
Make this fight in Gelsenkirchen, Wlad is due a fight there, the place is huge, though I suspect Briggs is a bigger commodity in Germany than Fury. Everyone knew who Haye was after cancelled fights with both brothers, multiple pressers for fights taht never materialised, same can not be said for this oaf. Like it or not he is an unknown, Pianeta was better known in Germany before their fight.
On to the other options then
Wembley, 90,000
Twickenham, 80,000
Emirates, 60,000
Olympic Stadium, 55,000
West Ham or WHL are 40,000+ seating reformat
So there's 6 other options in london at least as good as stamford bridge.
Book one of them
Wembley Twickenham and Olympic are pretty unlikely to be availabe due to the Rugby World Cup, looks like they're hoping for early October which is middle of football season and the Rugby world cup is until middle of October
Have it in Croke Park, Dublin. 80,000 filled out.
Andy Lee (Tyson's cousin) defending his world title as main undercard.
Hughie Fury v Chisora
Chambers v Price
Burnett and other top euro talent on the undercard
Spectacle
No boxing event has been held there since Ali back in the day
We know Klitschko vs you name it can sell out 50k in Germany. If Stamford bridge and 35k probably isn't available. Question is where do you go? All the football stadiums will be in the same situation.
Are Fury and Klitschko big enough to sell out Twickenham or Wembley?
I'm not so sure. It makes more sense to have it in Germany and also if Fury is a serious contender, we'll see what he's got when he's up against it away from home.
Damn...hopefully a venue can be sorted out in the UK in the end...would be a shame to miss this opportunity to fight there. From Hennessy's words though, seems like it is not too likely.

Agreed!
I mean if it's in Germany that's obviously fair enough.
But it'd be a refreshing change to have such a major event on British soil.
