Poor Frampton he isn't THAT big underdog as the poll suggests it because he is pretty skilled and has a puncher chance too but Rigo is obviously more skilled and also punches big. So... Rigo gets my vote.
Bang bang bang
I'm picking Rigo but Frampton has the skill and power to trouble Rigo, plus he is young and hungry. I'm not sure where Rigo is right now, he hasn't really fought anyone world class since Donaire if I'm not mistaken and he is in his late 30s now.
You have to beat Rigo in the pocket where he isn't comfortable I don't think you can beat him at mid range.
I think an elite pressure fighter will give him problems. But there are none at 122.
Rigo being uncomfortable in the pocket is a HUGE myth... I mean he is probably the best body puncher in the sport at the moment, the reason nobody fights him in the pocket is because he is really really really not very pleasant to be in the pocket with.
And he has the feet to control you in the pocket, turn you any way he wants, walk you into shots, tag your body hard enough to break ribs, and then use his feet to get out any time he wants.
You are never going to trap him on the ropes if he doesn't want you too. He has probably the best legs the sport has ever seen.
Just remember... every time you come in, this body shot is coming at you, and if you touch him, he is touching you back harder.

Only way Rigo loses, is if father time + inactivity catches up with. Which it will sooner or later, unless his ATG skill set, also lends him BHOP longevity, he is already quite ancient for his weight class.
That poll doe
Surprising results :lol1: you may as well have asked is water wet dude common Framptom has a chance it's boxing after all, but said chance is quite small. And they know it everyone in his division knows the same thing that's why nobody wants any of it they want to get paid more to take a sure loss .
I'm a Frampton fan, and i really rate him. He's the only guy at the weight who could give Rigo problems. That said, Rigo is just to good. He's elite level.

Frampton is a decent fighter, and deserves the fight and but RIGO would just be too quick and explosive...
Those counters would land and frampton would shell up or get stomped...
I can see rigo landing a shot frampton doesn't see and stops him, maybe a body shot like he did vs Rico Ramos...
Framptons speed/power is underrated and he's improved leaps and bounds since the first Martinez fight, whilst I'm still not completely sold on Rigo's power. I think its more of him forcing opponents to walk onto shots and his superb timing.
With Frampton's solid chin, he could more than likely eat a few to fire back some of his own, which is probably the only way to beat Rigo since he's nigh impossible to outbox.
