If cotto beat both Canelo and GGG would he be an ATG?

He's already an ATG, as far as I'm concerned. Let's think about it, he is one of the best in his era. Is a 4 division World Champion (some may not give him credit for the MW belt but at the end of the day he did beat the Lineal champion), has a great resume (giving the two best of the era great fights), one of the best PR boxers of all time (probably top 5, but I'm not Rican so I don't have a strong say in that; but top 10 for sure). We have to give respect where respect is due. He doesn't need to fight GGG, I just hope that he vacates if he doesn't want to fight at Middleweight. Bring on Canelo vs Cotto!!!! :boxing: :boxing:

I'd like to add King Cotto also gets more PPV buys than anyone else in the sport beside two guys named Manny & Floyd. PRPP:boxing: As douchey as it sounds the only reason I see for hating Cotto is jealousy. He is literally one of the most exciting fighters of all time.

Cotto is already an ATG elite fighter and only haters dispute that. To look as unmotivated and lethargic against a guy like Austin Trout and lose by 1 round (same score I had Canelo losing by) should be seen as a compliment to Cotto. Floyd/Cotto/Manny are on the same level as Leonard,Duran and Hearns

Yes he would be an all time great who strangely was better in his mid 30s than he was in his mid 20s. It usually works the other way around. Unless you're Hopkins.

Dammit you beat me to making this thread lol...of course he'll be...canelo has a good career thus far IMO has a long successful career ahead of him either way at middle weight cause of his youth and considerable skills, GGG is a bigger dominant guy I always underestimate cotto but he proved me wrong against Judah, Mosley, and Martinez....if he beats the two best fighters today between 154-160 being a natural welter he gets my vote...he weighed 153 with ease n no strain

I'd say yes. He's knocking out bigger guys. He'd be like a modern day Duran.

Yes. The Golovkin fight in particular would be very impressive if Cotto pulled it off.
