ANTHONY JOSHUA delivered a chilling warning to his heavyweight rivals by insisting he wants to be even more devastating.
The Watford-born man mountain became the first fighter to stop durable American Kevin Johnson in a stunning display of power on Saturday night.
Joshua, the 2012 Olympic gold medallist, bowled over 'Kingpin' in the opening round before a barrage of shots in the second ended the destruction.

Besides, he has a better amateur pedigree than Wilder and should be fighting better comp. Wilder has a meh amateur career and had to get more experience under his belt. Joshua is an Olympic Gold Medalist and should be fighting way better guys at this point..
People keep saying this lol. They pretty had exactly the same amateur career. Started in early adulthood with no boxing background, had crazy success in 30-40 fights (Joshua a debatable Olympic gold and a WC silver medal, Wilder Olympic bronze) and then turned pro.
He can be more devastating if he doesnt crowd his own punches. Keep the range, stay calm and pick the shots, rather than getting a guy hurt and just unloading.
A lot of his stoppages have been TKO types so far, I reckon he has the ability to be a one shot guy.
Shame Manny Steward isn't around these days, that man knew how to develop power
Joshua and Wilder are the most
Hyped fighters in the world.
They are good fighters. There are other really good heavyweight out
There. Here are few to consider:
Charles Martin,Gerald Washington,
Dillian Whyte,Joseph Parker.
These guys would give Wilder and
Joshua a real good fight.
Joshua knocks out everyone on that list and I'd bet my house on it!
Nobody wants you to fight Chisora, you made that one up im afraid.
Price could be good, but its dependant upon him landing on Josh so we can learn what happens when Josh gets hit. But im worried if Price is hit he will go down like Johnson.
Whyte is interesting for me, as i know so little about him, ive never seen him fight, not even highlights on tv.
I want to see him face Delboy.
Next opponent should be Chisora or Price in the summer on the Froch Golovkin card! ;)

You can't beat serious. Gavern, Skelton, Sprott, and Johnson were better than anyone Wilder faced in double the amount of fights.
Wilder didn't even fight Gavern until like his 30th fight.
Haha those guys were waaaaaay past their prime man. Joshua has had four opponents retire immediately following the fights. I suppose you think Zambrano-Love was a "test".
Youtube "All Joshua's knockouts (13-0)". Not a live one in the bunch. Here's a Joshua "fight".
1. Fight announced with bum. "Opponent" built up as a real terminator for fights that happened a decaed ago.
2. Bell rings, bum heads to center of ring, only to start immediately backpedaling and turtling against the ropes.
3. Bum throws 2-3 jabs to appear to be really "trying".
4. Joshua pounds bum against the ropes while smiling and laughing the whole time.
5. Ref jumps in to save bum.
6. Rinse, repeat.
I don't think's he's taken a single punch in his pro career.

Josh has unrealistic expectations, he is as devastating as he will ever be. He needs to know he can do that for 12 rounds, and do it whilst he is being beat to a pulp by punchers like Wilder, and Wlad and Fury.
Joshua working on his humblebragging skills.
Exactly. This is supposed to be his way of saying that he's hard on himself and a dedicated athelete, but considering that the fight was utterly non-competitive, it just sounds dumb.
Definitely needs a set-up in competition. Johnson didn't even throw a punch hardly in that fight. His opponents have been worse than Wilder's early ones..
Analogous to Wilder-Harrison, IMO. A supposed "step-up" fight that proved to be otherwise...
Joshua needs to keep doing what he's doing, he's progressing well and clearly listens to his coach and stays grounded, if he keeps doing what he's doing in 18 months he'll be looking about ready for a world title, people forget he's not been pro for very long.

No, just no, Wilder didn't fight better opposition for his first 13 fights.

What did he want to do, kill Johnson? There's not really anything more devastating he could have done.
My initial thoughts haha. Johnson nearly neaded a tag on his toe!
This guy is a MONSTER!!! He is the future, and looks to soon be the face of boxing if all continues well. I don't understand the meaning of "More Devastating"; does he want to be on the brink of killing someone or its he looking for a Williams/Hatton/Pacman type of KO on an opponent.
