So, Povetkin is the mandatory for the WBC strap. If enforced, Wilder will likely have to face him by the end of the year.
What'd you reckon? Will Wilder pay Team Povetkin some step-aside money, so he can continue to pad out his record with nobodies?
Do these PED allegations show that Wilder is shook? Is he terrified of losing the purse bid for the fight, and having to travel to Moscow to face the second best heavyweight?
They've discovered a new species of duck in Alabama!
It's the biggest in the world at 6'7" long. It's wingspan is an incredible 84"!
It's been named quackas alabamas or in laymans' terms Alabama Quacker.
AAAhahahaha!!!!
:rofl::rofl:
Haw yeah, that's gonna be a winner!! :fing02:
And the duck is in!!
First there was Riddick Bowe..
Then there was Floyd Mayweather,
now there's Deontay Wilder...
The SUPER-Duck!
:lol1:
Pathetic...
AAAAAbsolutely pathetic!!!
BUMMMMMMMMMMM SQUADDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!
No way. Wilder wants to keep the belt and Povetkin wants the belt to get another shot at Wlad.
Plus Wilder is a horrible match-up for Povetkin. Povetkin struggled horribly against Wlad's length and jab. Never got close to him really. Povetkin is a smaller guy then Stiverne and we saw Wilder just teeing off on Stiverne all night. Povetkin will try to bum rush Wilder and will just eat jabs and massive right hands or get tied up. I see this fight as surprisingly one-sided..
Maybe so, I am a big fan of both fighters... but after Povetkin dealt with Wlad, don't you think he learned a thing or two from fighting him (taller, longer reach, reach, etc) ?
Wlad was able to push around Povetkin quite easily because of weighing more and the height.
All Wilder has is height and reach, not weight because Povetkin weighs more than him. Wilder won't be able to push him around as easy as Wlad did.
This fight will be much better than Wlad vs Pov IMO, personally, I think Povetkin will knockout Wilder within 10.

Povetkin is Wilder's mandatory challenger and Deontay has expressed his desire in facing him. Honestly, I think it's far fetched to think that Wilder will duck this man.
In what scenario would this happen? Would Wilder drop the WBC title? I don't think so. This title is like a bargaining chip or lottery ticket, cash it in for millions of dollars. If he doesn't have a title, then he has no bargaining power.
Also, I don't think Povetkin will step aside. He's fought the best opposition out to get this title shot - his title run was planned right after the loss to Klitschko.
What the hell?
You swallowing that garbage or you just expect us to?
All this time, what with all the bum-busting and the good opponent ducking, now the baseless and ironic accusations... All this time my man Wilder has just been misunderstood.
He had nothing to do with it, it's his management!
So what your basically saying is that Wilder is a total ****ing retard who can barely tie his shoelaces together and probably can't even read his own contract let alone be legally capable of signing it himself LOL.
Idiot!
Wow, you're the real idiot if you think all boxers call the shots, champion or not.
Wilder has been to Russia before right? I don't see why he'd be scared at all. I think he believes he can beat any man out there incl. Povetkin.
He also just had the WBC belt tattooed on him, so I can't see him giving it up :lol1:
Why the hell would Povetkin wanna go to the states to fight Wilder??
Better turn out in Russia, more money, fairer scoring, judging and testing, as opposed to the United States of corruption..
American is a wrestling nation now, no more boxing to see there ;) lol
:lol1: Sure elroy. Why would the challenger go to the champions country?
Last time Povetkin fought for a world title in Russia I don't seem to remember him getting a fair ref, that's for sure.
Funny to see people jump the shark, Wilder will want to get paid and playing up the drama around this which is about the only extra drama surrounding Povetkin adds to that pay. It was a question that gets asked when a fighter in his mid 30's transforms their body becoming a lot more than they were (people on here did it).
How does this hurt making the fight unless Povetkin is a cry baby about it, which judging by his coach (which includes zero denials to the issue) isn't the case.
Since when does bad blood not help to sell a fight?
All I see is hope and fear in Povetkin's fans that the fight doesn't happen because he will get his head taken off by Wilder who will not let him off the hook like Wlad did. So they can claim to have won without them actually fighting~ good luck with that.
Im becoming more of a povetkin fan with each fight. I really dont see wilder being the favorite at all. hes too vulerable to punches and povetkin is the best combination puncher in the division. obviously wilder could starch him early but I think the better chance is povetkin wears wilder down with those body and head combos and gets him out. wilder is too top heavy and hasnt the legs to absorb povetkins onslaught. povetkin in 8 rounds imo

I think hed accept the challenge but his management will try to prevent it imo
Ok pal.........
:lol Szef SONNED you. Darth Vader voice "Easy Work...I am your father"
back on topic, Wilder takes this fight wherever it is. Interesting to see if it goes to purse bid, because Haymon and Rabinsky both have deep pockets. My question is, how much of a loss financially is Haymon willing to take, because that fight won't make nearly as much in the US as it would in Russia

Wilder is the champ, if the fight can be in the states with US testing I think Team Wilder will be interested.
Povetkin knows nabbing the WBC strap is his last chance at a rematch with Wlad. Wlad would never give him a rematch otherwise and he shouldn't. Povetkin was utterly destroyed in that fight.
Many people were asking the same questions about Povetkin after the Perez fight on this board so clearly people are wondering. Povetkin's best win before Wlad was Chagaev and he had plenty of his own record-padding.
I think Wilder would beat him soundly honestly. Too much reach on that jab and power int he right hand..
