Because as far as I'm concerned Khan eliminated himself last night. He struggled with a game Algieri far worse than Pacquaio did. Imo he's trying to perform smokes and mirrors in order to get this Mayweather fight. Trying to fool the public into thinking he can be the one to beat him but he will suffer the same fate as the rest. I had Algeiri winning 4 rounds in that fight with 1 swing round. How many rounds do you think Mayweather will win?
Atleast Pacquaio knocked him down 6 times. And don't give me 'Algeiri was a different fighter from the one from the Pacquaio fight', because Imo, you don't improve that much in 6 months.
Thurman and Brook look like they could be the goods though. A fight between them to determine the challenger to May would be the most logical solution, but we already know Floyd is only giving his opponent until September, so that can't happen. So which one is it?
Also we heard Floyd say he wants his last opponent to be a tough tough guy, a refreshing move from the champion for once, but what does he mean by that? When he says tough, does he mean Golovkin tough? Or does he mean Keith Thurman tough?...I doubt he fights Golovkin...Theres also Lara.
So so far the list of considerations for May's next fight should be looking something like this. With 1 being the most likely candidate. Tell me what you think:
1. Kell Brook
2. Keith Thurman
3. Amir Khan
4. Erislandy Lara
5. Danny Garcia
6. Golovkin
It can't be Khan cause you guys are missing a key factor. May said he wants to be in tough for his last fight. Khan, despite being a good fighter is not abnormally tough. That would be a sucker punch to the public if Floyd did that..Although I can see him doing it.
I wouldn't mind Khan, I don't think he was THAT bad against Algieri. John David Jackson said that Khan only trained seriously for three weeks which considering the shape he was in compared to Collazo/Alexander, I could see some truth in it. Neither Brook or Khan win more than four rounds but Brook's power is the only reason I'd prefer to see him get the fight.
Yeah I agree Brooks power/style also is why Id prefer him. Nothing against Khan but I think he and Floyd would be a horribly uneventful fight, until Khan is knocked out or more likely Floyd floats to a clinch ridden autopilot performance resulting in a decision.
Would be pretty pathetic if its Khan but wouldnt surprise me.
If prefer Brook.
Who knows maybe Andy Lee, Floyd will go for a MW title. :lol1:

For someone not known, he seems to have just headlined a show at a sold out stadium.
Big Josh did that tbh, u heard the crowd when he came out
Now compare it to when Brook walked out and post fight
Brook is a big name in Sheffield, but the further you travel out, his profile is not huge.
It is what it is, and i can now safely say Brook vs Khan wud not sell 80,000 in the UK...not a bloody chance

He's a draw in Sheffield but the majority of that crowd was there for the local(ish) lads in Joshua and Mitchell.
Khan has it in the bag
:lol1:
The crowd was roaring last night for Khan, he was trending on Twitter both in the US and UK
The crowd got their moneys worth
Brook fought a weak frail nobody called Frankie Gavin, in the UK, and the crowd was less than impressed. Brook isnt popular in the UK, he's not known outside of his hometown, that was evident tonight, that alone rules him out of the Floyd sweepstakes
Thurmann is fighting Khans left overs in Collazo, he may get a shot, who knows

I'd prefer the Brook fight but I still think it will be Khan.
