Selby was denied a definitive decision or stoppage tonight (wasn't exactly a vitali career ender) and the same ref who denied Groves a chance or Froch a stoppage, amongst many other dubious endings of the recent years. Also the Ryder stoppage seemed premature.
They may be getting a W on boxrec, but are they harming credibility and putting asterisk on their resumes?
The Selby fight was stopped by the doctor, not the referee.
I'm including doctor in officials, but i get how doctors have more pressure on their heads (also possible lawsuits) as is their profession
I understand as a ref you don't want it to be on your head if a fighter sustains serious long lasting damage, and it can be a life/death sport but tonight they weren't in as much danger as is regularity seen on lesser publicised cards.
