AMIR KHAN knows he is drinking in boxing’s last-chance saloon tonight.
The Bolton star takes on American Chris Algieri here tonight knowing one slip could see his dreams of a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jnr destroyed.
Khan is desperate for a shot at ‘Money’ Mayweather and insists he is the man to obliterate his unbeaten record, with the superstar set for one more fight following his points victory over Manny Pacquiao earlier this month.

check their resumes.. guerrero biggest win:berto..maidana biggest: broner.. khan beat maidana, alexander (better than broner), paulie , zab and peterson (robbed)
if khan has to "earn" it well wtf did maidana had to do except beat bum ass broner.. double standard
He is better than all 3, but not combined, hell Maidana has a great chance at beating Khan at 147 in a rematch.
Limited with defeat, and still limited with victory.
Yep, I agree. This win does absolutely nothing for him. Algieri was dropped 6 times in his last fight ffs.
LMAO, no he is not.

its crazy the things people say Khan must do to "earn" a fight vs Floyd.. Khan has a better resume and is a better fighter than Ortiz/Maidana/Guerrero combined.. he has done more than enough to "earn" it. . Give me a break. At 147 he is the best available opponent for Mayweather, thats not debatable.
I think you need to calm down a bit haha, he was only wondering who his promoter is. At the end of the day we only care about what goes on in the ring when its all said and done.
Your right, but unfortunately we do have to worry about who's promoted by who because there are so many good fights out there that aren't being made because of promoter feuds. I really hope haymon comes to his senses and starts working with top rank and roc nation, its whats best for the fans and best for boxing. Algieri has it good because he fights for a neutral promoter so he can fight anyone
If khan loses this fight whether by knockout or decision his career will definitely be severely hampered. Since the Garcia fight he has been fighting q bunch of b level opponents. Algieri hasn't proven himself as an elite fighter yet. He almost got KO'd by Julio Diaz so anything can happen but khan is heavily favored to win this fight. It would take him a few years of beating b level opponents again before he could be considered a top welterweight if he loses tonight. Same as when he got ktfo by Danny Garcia. Khan isn't even that big in the states as it stands right now. As mayweather pointed out the arena was half empty for his fight against Alexander. Should be a better turn out tonight because of the Muslim population in the tri state area and Chris algieri being from new York, however i dont see this fight doing big ratings. Mayweather would be better served waiting for the pacquiao rematch or fighting kell brook or Keith Thurman.
Negatory, he is with neither top Rank or al haymon. He is with star boxing. You think if he was with haymon he would have fought pacquiao last year? And do you think he'd be fighting khan now if he was with top rank? Critical thinking skills are seriously lacking on this forum

I thought he was with TR, but i am not so sure now
There was talk of Chris fighting Crawford, and i believe he turned it down for the Khan payday.
I am therefore guessing he is a TR fighter

Don't worry Khan worshippers Chris is hand picked for Khan to look good but the way you seem so concerned makes me wonder how much real belief you have in him.Chris is hand picked knowing he is not a 'A' class fighter, your hero is telling you lies again.Should Khan lose tonight it would be over as it's difficult to take him seriously before this fight !
I honestly don't know who Algieri is with lol.
I just think there's a high chance he'll end up being used as bait if he loses this one.

He's an Al Haymon fighter pickings are still pretty slim for Haymon
He can be matched up with a number of Haymon fighters, to keep everything in house
Even if Chris loses tonight, he can easily be matched up with Broner/Porter winner
Although is Chris a Haymon fighter? or TR?..i have no clue

So a loss to Chris Algieri and you still think that Khan has the right to meet the winners of this world ......amazing Frank, nothing more to discuss with you.
Khan on ur resume is a solid name...
There are lesser fighters fighting Thurmann, Broner, Brook
A win over Khan is a hell of a lot better than a win over Collazo
Khan should fight someone like Alvarado next. Let Brook, Thurman, Porter level guys all mix it up against each other. Khan can fight Algieri-alvarado level guys and with his skills he can dominate that class for years possibly. Its worked for him so far that hes being mentioned for Floyd, so whats the point in stepping up?
He needs to fight Broner/Porter, Thurmann next...or rematch Danny
Thats if Floyd doesnt give him the fight
And take Brook on in the Summer of 2016
Time he put it all on the line again..only way he'll get his respect back
Honestly I think if he loses this it will set his career back at world level drastically, there's only so many chances you get before people decide to just give up on you... not just the fans but managers and promoters will stop putting as much time into building him up and use that time on somebody else, that's the nature of the sport.
I do think the Brook fight would still be their though, which would be a good payday for him (I think he'd get beat by Brook personally).
