I hope people here really understand that they are upset with cotto's sh1t talking. He tries to downplay a matchup with GGG on the stance that GGG hasn't beaten any big names...but then is promoting a fight with a guy that GGG absolutely starched in short order. He's a hypocrite and that's where the hate seems to stem from.

Finally after losing back to back in a disastrous year, first to the BEST fighter alive, maintaining competitiveness and losing to Trout, Cotto dusted himself off again and moved up in weight and beat the best fighter there, old or not. Whereas after two humiliating defeats and humiliating retirements, Trinidad comes back after three years and fights another washed up fighter at 170 only to lose again 12-0 before finally going away for good. Say what you will about Cotto, but every loss he had, he was competitive and never looked like he didn't belong and he always came back post defeats. Trinidad in his losses looked like he didn't belong and retired after every loss because he lacks what Cotto had, true heart. I'm sure most boxers in their thirties have condition of younger guys. Boxers imo are the best shaped athletes out there. Cotto being elite should be no surprise.
