Golovkin has been getting his face rocked in 4 of his last 5 fights. A lot of you consider that to be his warrior machismo. Ward gets tagged a little, and I mean a LITTLE (LOOK AT THE STATS),and you guys act like Smith was connecting hay makers or something. Ward would punish Golovkin for as long as his chin could take it. K2 knows that Gennady is a limited fighter and really don't want him to be exposed for the fraud that they built him up to be without cashing in on their investment. Ward would just make him another notch on the belt of Europeans he's destroyed. So for this reason, Golovkin will duck Ward and feast on 147-154 pounders...

At this point, the only thing that is important is that GGG secures a big fight against a decent name right now. Everyone already knows that Ward would more than likely end up as a loss (90%) chance, assuming Ward is anything similar to the last time he fought. The problem with fighting Ward, is that win or lose it won't bring much to the table for Golovkin's career--- in fact, it would probably hurt it more (since he would lose). The majority of people don't want to see Golovkin vs Ward. They want Golovkin vs Canelo, or other big names. They don't understand all these different weight classes, or the importance of it, and then throw names like Mayweather out there. Let's just face it, Andre Ward is an amazing P4P fighter, but he simply is not popular. So, the more popular he gets, the easier it becomes to negotiate fights. If he brings money to the table, he'll be able to secure fights much more easily. So I would love to see him fight Froch, and win, because I know it will help build up his name. Maybe, to the point where some obvious Middleweight names step up to the plate to fight him, like Quillin, Andy Lee, and so forth. Start getting some real pressure for Canelo to fight him already, since Canelo doesn't seem like the type to duck people (although his management is another story). I hear what you are saying but shouldn't boxing be about the best fighting the best whether you win or lose as oppose to fighters fighting fights that they know that they can win. I do agree that there are fans who don't like Ward because of his style but I've meet quite a few fans who dislike Golovkin not because of his fighting style but because he's not fighting anyone who can challenge him. Can you think of any fighter that can beat Golovkin 160 lbs and under? I can't so watching those fights are anti-climatic. I want Golovkin to fight someone who will bring out the best in him. Fighting Froch and Chaves Jr are the same thing (Froch being past his prime and thinking retirement and Chavez being very limited) but if he fights someone Bika, DeGale, Groves, Kessler, Jack, Callum Smith, Ramirez, Abraham...I just wanted him tested, we know he has power but what can he bring to the table when he fighting a person he doesn't have any physical advantage over or a fighting who not even on his level to begin with.

It's 5/26/15....I haven't seen any boxing related articles of Golovkin stepping up yet? Loeffner and K2 will match him safe and soft with either: a. A career 147 lber being forced to move up b. A career 154 lber being forced to move up c. I don't understand. He's a bum, but he has to fight the 2nd best p4p fighter in order to lose? If he was a bum, wouldn't the guys he's fighting now expose him? Golovkin is not a bum and anyone who says that dksab but with that being said trying to fight 147 lber moving up or fight old 168 lber isn't telling us anything about his abilities in the ring when he has to deal with adversity. Fighting guys like Nobuhiro Ishida and Gabriel Rosado when you are on fire isn't screaming p4p material.

You see in fighting Ward, you are fighting the following: A 2004 Gold Medalist Not a 140-154 pounder moving up Not a nearly 40 year old limited slugger The winner of the Super Six Your resume is weak (compared to Ward) but fighting Ward can change this but you are scared 5h!tless so stay at 160 lbs and fight out the rest of your days there but if you can move up for limited sluggers like Froch or Chavez or move down to fight small fighter like Mayweather and Alvarez...then you can move up for the Son of God. I see through you and when you wake up every morning, every second of every day and look in the mirror...you see Frank Ward little boy Andre, and it frighten you.
