Alot of people question Floyd Sr as a trainer, his intelligence, and general competency.
After watching the fight probably for the tenth time Big Floyd was telling Jr the right things.
I cant question Jr IQ in the ring, he is one of the best ever. Pacman lost a lot of rounds waiting in the punching pocket waiting to counter. Big Floyd wanted Jr to follow up with the left hook or uppercut after he lands.
If Money was able to execute the plan like I think he is capable of, there would have been no controversy. I personally think Floyd won convincingly but could have done more to close the show(not necessarily a ko).
As far as Pac mans right shoulder: Watch the sixth round where he threw many killer right hooks and won that round clearly.
Senior clearly expected more, and still expects more. Whether that is to keep his son motivated or because he doesn't realize Mayweather can't do what he thinks he should be doing anymore, I don't know.
It honestly felt like Floyd Jr. just had him in his corner for the sake of having somebody there. He pretty much went out and did what he felt was needed (like a lot of boxers often do). In between round corner man advice is a tad overrated IMO, the fighter/trainer already have their gameplan set. There's been a few occasions one can think it made a big difference, but I think people put too much stock over what's said during a fight between the guys working the corner. I recall Floyd finally throwing more left hooks in a round only to be told by Sr. that, "I ain't seen you throw one left hook yet!" Floyd Jr. sort of just had this blank look on his face and went out and fought his fight.
I agree with u in the sense that it man vs man in the ring, but alot of times adjustment are needed and it help to have eyes on the outside to tell u what u might not see.
Floyd doesn't necessarily need a corner man because he sees pretty much everything and makes his own adjustments.
Sr and Jr dynamic was interesting tho. I think ultimately Sr was right on point even if Jr had everything in control. Jr also acknowledged that Sr wanted more from him

Agreed...someone who's been doing it that long knows what they need to do. Sr. Must have thought he was cornering jr lightweight /lightweight floyd...when he used to put combos together and get into exchanges at the expense of his defense.

Sr knew that pac was outboxing floyd in rounds 6-10and landing the cleaner harder punches, that is until after the decision was announced and his confidence suddenly came flooding back.
lol, if anything his dumbass was advising his son the opposite, to let his hands go and walk pac down, fortunately enough jr knew right away he wasn't fighting the same southpaws he's used to fighting. I mean he had to use his mma skills coz his boxing wouldn't have been enough to beat a sh1tty version of pac.
this crackhead will never win a trainer of the year award in his lifetime, he sucks
Well, Floyd was ignoring his pleas to stop "fighting scared" and he still won. One should know that being scared is the greatest asset to avoid danger!
Theres a big difference in being scared and running like a little girl. Mayweather had an injured opponent fighting in pain yet Mayweather STILL RAN!!!! Here Floyd supper time :bottle:

Floyd apparently had hurt hands; whether the strategy was sound or not, it isn't all that easy to string combination after combination together when your hands aren't responding right.
I noticed that too live during the fight. The right hand was there for him all nite. I can understand why casuals might be turned off by the fight. Without Floyd putting the exclamation point on the fight, he made it seem too easy.
Pac man need to have more pride too. Floyd has made people look bad before but that didnt seem like an honest effort.

his hands are broken 90% of the time
