I think Cotto doesn't make it past the 4th round. He's taken some terrible beatings and his face falls apart too quickly.
(I think Floyd doesn't make it past the 6th round. His movement and relatively good defense should withstand 5 torching rounds of punishment before finally being retired on his stool.
I think Canelo, being the youngest and biggest of the 3 could take his beating up until the 9th round.
Thoughts please!!:boxing:
cotto - 4 (cotto cant handle power and pressure)
Mayweather - 9 (mayweather will outbox him but just too small and eventually will get tagged with something he cant shake)
Canelo - distance. (canelo big enough to phsyically handle him and ggg pressue tempo is not fast enough to tire out canelo and actually helps him)
This is nearly spot on!
I'm assuming you mean a healthy, not overly weight drained Golovkin. No 152, or anything below 157
Floyd gets walked down and hit everywhere. His solid welterweight power won't be anything to keep Golovkin off. He'll end up losing rounds because of inactivity and eventually get hit with something that will put him down. Floyd's chin is solid, but if a little guy like Manny can shake you with a left that had no body weight behind it, Golokin's power is going to be something else entirely.
Cotto has a good team behind him now for what seems like the first time in a long time, but he also has a lot of wear and tear on him and I just feel like he'll be undersized. He'll get hit with some shots and go into retreat mode. This Geale fight tho, is going to be a good indication of what Cotto more or less is at middleweight and getting Geale's opinion versus the two fighters will be interesting.
Canelo goes the longest. They would probably fight at a weight Canelo doesn't have to come down as much, he'll have more energy, I think he'll take a shot better. That should be a good fight. This fight seems the most likely to happen as well. Canelo appears to be the only one who acknowledges Golovkin's name...for the future at least.
Cotto: 2 (mid-2nd round after sustaining big shots end of 1st)
Canelo: 3 (early in the 3rd though after a bad beating in 2nd)
Mayweather: 2 (late in 2nd, I can actually see Floyd quitting after a k/d like Monroe)
Golovkin is physically too much for these three. The fighters going rounds with Golovkin are either bigger or exceptionally durable.
I have nothing against GGG. He just did not convince me in his last fight and if the saying "you are only as good as your last fight" is true, then he gets dropped by Canelo.
GGG stops or UDs Cotto
GGG gets outboxed and oitmarted by Mayweather.
Funny, a few weeks ago I was saying GGG Murders all three of them. It is not until you see defects in a fighter that other fighters may also see and take advantage of.
But how did you feel about Danny Garcia after Salka? Kos Ggg with a left hook?

Its not anger, its the truth. Cottos reign with that belt is like an hourglass slowly running out of sand. He literally has nothing that would pose a problem for GGG,and he'd honestly be lucky to make it out of the 6th round, without looking like he did against margarito or Pacquiao.
Lol he mad^^^^^^^^^^
Yeah, I'm picking Canelo for the upset ........ GGG is a sucker for the uppercut and Canelo will nail him constantly with that shot. And I also, believe many are underestimating how much improved Canelo has gotten since the Floyd fight.
Floyd would get in tight with GGG to limit his power and move around the ring from time to time, as needed. I can't come up with an outcome because of Floyd's defense and skill, but if I were to guess, it will go at least 10 rounds.
*Side note: Monroe got in tight and all of a sudden GGG's shots were all too wide and looping, which suggests that GGG is more effective at range.
Cotto would go down the fastest, because of his fighting style and inability to weather the shots from GGG. If Cotto had a defensive game equal to Floyd, I would lean a little more in his favor.
Canelo didnt look improved vs Lara. Looked kinda clueless, just strong enough to intimidate him. Its hard to draw conclusions from the other 2 wins over washed up brawlers, one very chinny one outright shot
I love how Cotto is the one who has beaten and KO'd MW's, while Canelo is the one who hasn't even fought a MW but he can hang with GGG? You do know Kirkland is garbage right, GGG with 1 hand and 1 leg is better than Kirkland FFS. He can at least take a punch more than 1 minute before getting bambi legs.
It's funny how angry Cotto makes you guys it's downright hilarious!

Canelo is more than capable of winning and I'm liking his chances a lot.

None of them see the 10th bell. Cotto falls before the 5th,canelo might make it to the 7th,and mayweather sees the 9th if he literally runs and clinches the whole fight.
Cotto within 4 even at the catchweight Cotto will request.
Canelo is a toss up and I personally think Canelo is better. It'd be late if it happened.
Floyd takes him the distance at 152, he doesn't fight him at a weight above that. I an't see him landing clean and that shot Maidana laid on him was flush but after the bell.
GGG is entertaining and the true king at 160 but that division is trash. The Canelo fight is the biggest fight out there and he's waiting for cinnabon to move up.
