I thought it was a real sportsman like gesture and if anything he looked worried, thinking Kirkland could be seriously hurt ( as many of us thought ). He was also asked about prior weekends (boring) fight and he mentioned that he doesn't compare himself to other fighters and he only focuses on him, that's real imo.. You're right it does seem rare.
