I'm trying to figure why people call him a bum. He's only has one loss and that to Manny Pacquaio.
He beaten Ruslan, Taylor and countless others.
So my question is Chris Algieri an elite fighter or a bum?
Not a bum but nowhere near elite. I firmly believe he got the decision against Provo because they needed someone with feather fisted hands with a title to throw in there with Pac to hype up a Floyd/Manny fight.
Manny drops him 6 times and people again believe he is the old Manny that could give Floyd trouble. They were wrong.
it was only the pacquiao haters that were saying algieri could upset pacquiao, make it a close fight, make him look bad etc
everyone else said algieri doesn't belong there
why lie?
Yes you are lying...
Pathetic.
Elite? Not a chance. I'm not a fan of Algieri. I think he got a gift decision over Provodnikov (which is a shame because I wanted to see Pac-Prov), and he didn't impress me at all against a Pacquiao who has clearly been doing the absolute minimum to win his last few fights. I don't know how he'd fare against Khan since I haven't seen Khan in action since his loss to Peterson.
Complete BS. Mayweather fans were saying the fight was a total mismatch and Pac fans were defending it saying Algeri would box and make things interesting for Pac.
Funny how you switch the tables after the fact though. Kind of how pac fans flip flop on drug testing in boxing.
Everyone was sh*tting on the Algieri/Manny fight, except like 3 people. 3 people are nowhere the majority.

i clearly remember the famed flotard hansburger picking algieri to win, tenma saying algieri will make pacquiao look very bad, and a host of others saying pacquiao will have a hard time dealing with algieri's movement as he can't cut the ring off at all

Depends on the standards. If he's fighting Pac he's a world class welter weight and the best fighting the best.
If he's fighting Mayweather he's a bum who's being forced up to 147 and Floyd is cherry picking him.

He is the man to prove the doubters wrong, thats who he is, the pretty boy surpeme, the basement dwelling mamas boy who went from his basement to the main event.
Dude is the american dream.
He ****ing sucks. Hes the guy who happened to beat Ruslan so got his name out there, he wont beat anyone of that caliber again. Hes a lot like Guerrero beating Berto, surprised people and got his name out there but wont do **** again. And actually guerrero would beat him easy but their situations are similar.
He's definitely not a bum, but he's far from elite.
He's probably getting more criticism than he deserves, but his corner was comical at best in the Pacquaio fight.
Tim "Bring the pain " Lane with his talismans, special oils , the master boxer bull**** ( not to mention "the cage" debacle on PPV), was embarassing.
I already posted this once, but for those who missed it :
Just goes to show how naturally talented Algieri must be to have made it this far with this twatt in his corner
