Wondering why there wasn't enough action during the fight. and we were left feeling robbed of any good action in the ring? And why this super fight didn't live up to the bill, and why it stunk so bad you feel robbed.
Well, this is main reason behind it, if you hug an opponent 43 times, that will definitely sap any chance for a 1 handed fighter to put on an offense. It just Kills any kind of action that was building up. It's a SHOW STOPPER. Literally not figuratively lol.
Well if you ask most of us who has a rational mind, this hugging contest that Floyd showcased the whole night killed the super fight. I can even call this day light robbery for playing it too safe and turning the match into a zumo match. To some nutt huggers this hugging by Floyd is an atg skill lol It is a High level stuff, that they fool themselves into thinking it's part of the ring IQ to hold your opponent over and over and turn it into a hugging contest lol
Hugging has no business in a super fight. It's about proving your the best and putting a show, sadly FLoyd like a businessman that he is and didn't care about the fans hard earned money and played it too safe. That it left us all with a bad taste in our mouth.
Pac tried to make into a fight even with one hand, but it takes 2 to tango. How do you expect him to fight when Floyd gets a way with this kind off cowardly act?
43 hugs and not a single point deduction. Wow isn't it? This is what's wrong with boxing. They better have a stricter way in preventing fighters from hugging too much.
Hugging to avoid being punched is a cowardly act and it also eats up time from referee breaking them up and telling them to resume fighting time and time again. It saps the excitement in a fight especially to a super fight that people are expecting a good show. If the hugging is intentional a referee should see it for what it is and penalize him for what he is doing so that fighters will resume fighting and put on a good show.
This video shows why we were robbed of a super fight. Floyd didn't want to fight. This should not happen again.. We deserved 2 warriors having an epic battle not a hugging contest.
You are speaking to the wrong crowd, most of the people who post here don't have a problem with that type of bull****, they don't care as long as their guy wins and they are still watching boxing. For what it's worth most people agree with you, just not the fanboys in this site, the proof is the decrease in overall boxing popularity over the years and the public backlash after the fight.
These people are really making me not even want to post on here anymore......Just pathetic....Floyd didnt even clinch that much.....Pac lost cuz he didnt let his hands go and didnt take chances.....second guessed himself too much.....which is a recipe for disaster against Floyd.
No heart?
The guy fought with one hand and hurt Floyd more than FLoyd hurt him. And even to some say he won it, including Holyfield.
No heart? The guy fought with one hand and still was able to put the hurt in the hurt game.
He didn't win tho.
i understand getting tangled up, but using the clinch as a weapon (read: defensive genius move) to nullify your opponent's attack? lol nope against the rules.
13. Excessive holding the opponent or maintaining a clinch.
Say what u want about mayweathers tactics. The point is why should that have stopped pac? sometimes things don't go your way in there. Pac didn't show any heart, he accepted the situation and didn't behave like someone who really wanted to win at all cost.

Who says they were all spread out evenly between rounds? lol
Some holds were pretty long too, anywhere from 5-8 seconds.
Anyways, any boxing fan should favor fewer clinches
Fewer Clinches = more boxing.
Theres no valid argument against it, yet to hear it.
Thank god there are still real boxing fans in this site. Spot on bud.
I know as ive said, some fans just like you, think hugging is a skill.. No objection there lol
It's a high level skill, were in, if all else fails, time to hug some body lol

Floyd barely clinched , pac had plenty of time to land punches but got countered every time and looked amatuer. Stay salty. 48-0 cry some more
More like a bear hug. He loves pac too much. :luvbed:
43 hugs/10 rounds
4.3 hug/round
1 hug/42 second
So Pacquiao had about 30 seconds before the following hug to show his skills.
I think it's fair.

It's okay to clinch, but clinching to duck a punch over and over is not good for boxing.. Big difference.
You duck a punch with your smarts. Holding to duck a punch and excessively for that matter is a cowardly way as a fighter. You fight by ducking and finding ways to score. This is boxing. You punch and try to duck a punch. Not hold when all else fails. They should change this to holding contest then lol
Quick question .. Have any of you trained and fought for even a year ..? If so you would know the importance of wrestling with a guy to negate his offence and getting yours off at will .. It's sad you all think this era invented clinching but fighters have utilized it for years .. Always will... Just the sheer toll it takes on your mind and will when somebody imposes there strength and skill upon you keeping you to something like 14% .. He was outclassed and clinching is an art fighters have and always will use .. Stop crying about pacmans schooling
lmao this is hillarious, some pac fans have accepted their fighter lost and given props, but clowns like this poster just want to complain and make excuses about "hugging" and "running". Thats how you know they dont know anthing about boxing and arent real fans but crybabies
I know as ive said, some fans just like you, think hugging is a skill.. No objection there lol

all the "best" fighters in boxing do that now. it's become the norm and its also the reason why boxing isn't popular or entertaining. wlad, ward, floyd. what do they have in common...clinching! its so sad because if the refs didn't allow them to do that we would have much more entertaining fights but these clinchers also have tremendous sway in boxing so they are allowed to cheat.
Yup that is what's wrong with boxing, they really have to figure how to make boxing more fun to watch all this hugging, especially in the biggest fight on the planet ruined boxing.
That is why FLoyd's performance, I cannot give him credit for it, coz I saw a coward walk home 200 million dollars and he didn't give the fans the heart of a true champ, instead he gave his fans a highway robbery.
All business no heart.

:bounce: :bounce: the butthurt will never end. Amazing. Also a cute little fact. Manny weighed more than floyd by 3 pounds. He lost to a smaller man :bounce:
so you are blaming the guy who was clinched instead of the guy clinching? unbelievable! do you have no dignity?
Not blaming anyone for anything...fighters fight they don't make excuses. their job is to find a way to win.
43 fouls isn't a lot? on what planet? this is why boxing is crap. you got fans who are actually conditioned to watching cheating and they think its "defense"
Yup, boxing is suppose to be able to duck a punch not hug to duck a punch. geez..Some of these cats are brainwashed sheeps i tell you lol
