"I won't claim a fix or anything but when 10 or so people are yelling at the TV: "Throw some damn punches, why are you just standing there, he is just sitting against the ropes!!", it lets you know that you are not alone in wondering WTF? Yet, Pac just stood there looking at him. Hurt or not, he just didn't let his hands go enough. "
Whether it was an injury or some kind of odd fix. It was very strange to see a guy just let up like that, pac literally stepped back and watched Floyd go out of the shell. Boggles my mind
One ting that stood out from the fight itself that had me thinking all night:
Why did manny stop throwing his combination when floyd was in bernard hopkins shell on the ropes..TWICE. This is where manny wanted him, and manny simply stopped throwing punches. Mayweather was not moving, it looked really suspicious like a fix or someone was injured. Anyone else see this?

Sure Floyd countered him some but not enough to have him afraid to punch or timid in the biggest fight of his life. It was some whacked out game plan, he was legit hurt (still need some proof to believe this) or he just didn't understand that you have to push it all round, every round to even hope to win a decision against Mayweather. Especially since he would attack, have success and then take his foot off the gas. I mean it's not like he got rocked in those moments that forced him to stop punching. Even if the punches aren't landing, it's activity and activity wins fights.
VASYL LOMACHENKO. HOly smokes!!Anyone think this guy could fight at 140?
Yeah, definitely. One of the people at my house was this woman from Ukraine and I was telling her about him before his fight. Everyone was yelling at the TV saying he was a beast. I think he has true potential to become a P4P dude.
How much quicker Floyd was than Manny. The post fight interview between Max and Manny. And how Manny kept falling for the same check hook, with Floyd rolling off the ropes and not making any damn adjustment.
Yes I was really surprised that Floyd was faster than Manny. Floyd's feet...doe...wow, those 38 year old shot legs were mighty quick to me
"The gameplan revealed by Roach was to throw flashy flurries when Mayweather was on the ropes and get out before Mayweather could counter... the injury claim is making people overthink things lol:"
When you have a guy where you want him and he is vulnerable, a game plan should go out the window. Pac literally went straight backwards after landing four punches and floyd was covered up...It looked really suspicious. As if they wanted to give the crowd SOMETHING
He threw like 10 punch combinations in those flurries and landed quite a few but also some where being blocked with the gloves. Even for someone as well conditioned as Pacquiao throwing 20, 30 punches all in one go would be stupid, he's never done that before.

Lampley and Bernstein make a great team...
Agreed, it was super chilled and laid back.
What struck me most was how much I love Pac lol His post match whining hasn't affected my opinion of him at all. Legend.
Floyd went up loads too. I love watching him fight. Just wish he'd engage more.

Yeah i thought that too, at one point when pac had him on the ropes with floyd in his shell not throwing, pac stopped throwing and backed off and went backwards. maybe he was worried he'd get countered. I think Floyd really got in his head and pac over analysed.

Pac actually hurt Floyd a few times with a left hand, Floyd on the other hand didn't hurt Pac at all. That is what shocked me the most, I think Floyd either doesnt hit as hard as I thought or Pacs chin is better than I expected.
Meh. Those punches that "hurt" Floyd usually put guys on their ass. Break their nose, close their eyes. Etc. For Floyd it made him back pedal and high guard for five seconds. Pac was ripping to the body and Floyd didn't even flinch. Floyd is naturally just too solid for Pac to hurt him. On top of being the superior boxer.
The glaring issue was apparent after Manny hit Floyd with his beat shot and hardly phased him. I knew Manny would get outboxed but thought his power would have a more significant impact and it absolutely did not. Floyd ate Manny's best punch and it hardly phased him which brought me to my conclusion that Manny isn't big enough nor strong enough to ever beat Floyd.

What stood out to me is how awful Santa Cruz is.
LOL, Leo Santa Cruza had an insurance salesman who I felt outboxed him, that fight should have been a draw.
Cruz is garbage, he is the most boring pressure fighter in boxing, no power either.
But Lomachenko is a beast, that dude is a thing of beauty to watch, so quick, rolling under, slipping, dipping, flurries, speed, timing etc, that dude is fun to watch. high workrate with defense.
