I'm not one for w@nking on about the bidniz side of things but that is actually ASTOUNDING that 4.5 million Americans shells out 100 bucks for that fight. Thats like 3 million fight parties going on in one night lol
It's mind-boggling. This is the 3rd time now that he's been in a record setting PPV fight, and each time people walk away disappointed, claiming boxing sucks and they'll never watch again. Yet he's the biggest star in the sport? Why do people keep paying to watch him if they hate watching him so much?
People hate him so much that the chance of see him lose is too much to resist. You have to give it up to him though. If I was a Floyd fan I would be absolutely ****ing loving some of his defense and counters at the weekend. Pac's busted shoulder and non-roided state notwithstanding.
Goddamn!! May and Pac made an absolute killing on Saturday! It could be the biggest heist in history :lol1:
I had people in my classes complaining about the fight, and all I could do was roll my eyes. I don't feel bad at all for casual fans, they deserve to get taken for their ignorance. Floyd hasn't gotten rich off the backs of hardcore fans, it's the casual fans who continue to expect something different than what he's shown previously. If he's so boring, why do people keep lining his pockets and filling his bank account? Fuck the foolish casual fans. You're paying to watch the "Best", not to be "Entertained".

The UFC is pretty much done and boxing is booming as far as I can see. Their top guy Jon Jones is gonna get put in jail for at least a year for causing a 3 way crash involving a pregnant lady while probably high off coke and weed, fled the scene too.
UFC isn't done but it will never overtake Boxing. Boxing just needs to get it's act together so it can cement its place at the top again. UFC only appeals to white boys in America who tattoo their head, get mohawks and pierce their lips and who like grappling on the floor with the opponents foot all up in their face. Boxing is and always will be in a good position. UFC will never ever have nights like a Floyd Mayweather fight at the MGM Grand in Las vegas, the cradle of Boxing.
I know :lol1:
Damn that was some shit storm afterwards. But there was always a good chance it would go that way.
It's more of a missed opportunity than anything else. This sport will survive even if it's just two guys fighting in a car-park with the action being streamed on youtube. It'll never die.
You cannot quench the thirst of people to see violence.

Yep to me it was just like the Floyd Oscar fight boxing didn't lose fans because the people who are already boxing fans know how Floyd fights and knew that manny wasn't the same guy before he got knocked out cold, but this was such a great opportunity to gain a lot of new fans and the fight didn't live up to the hype oh wellat least this may-pac mess is over and we can go back to watching these young guys that have something to prove.
And 75 % who watched will never watch again fck manny and Floyd.

Man I had a girl at my get together screaming in my damn ear "**** that Paclow he drank his pee he drank his pee!!!" She did this until the 4th ****ing round. Man I hate casuals.
During the telecast they delayed the fight a bit because they were saying so many people were ordering the PPV cable companies were being overloaded. So I wouldn't doubt it!
Yeah including mine, ****ing Charter! I had to find other means to watch the fight. They gave me a refund, and i ended up watching for free though.
yeah, I was at my crib so I was gone as well. It wasn't a great performance.
In all honesty I thought about guys like you, tua, and the boxing fans who really love Manny and I was disappointed for you guys. I thought he would fight a lot harder.
All the back over the years has been fun at times, aggravating at times, and down right nasty. In the end, I respect dudes who love the sport and ride with their guy.
Peace out dude, lets hope Lakers get it right.
I thought this was just me. I thought about all the guys in the Floyd-Manny thread that I went back and forth with since last year about this bout. I felt bad for them but at the end of the day there are winners and losers. Definitely knew I wouldn't be a sore winner.
Because it takes weeks to count up to 1 million on an under-performing fight. When it's a massive success they just open up the PPV buyer list and get it as fast as their internet can refresh the screen.
Yea the difference between meeting expectations or beating expectations. If it is close need to make sure everything is accounted for.
If you exceed expectations then who cares let it be known early so when the final numbers are tallied it is even better looking.

LOL. Great post.
This thread is pointless. If it usually takes weeks to tally up regular PPVs wtf makes you think we'll know what the official numbers are in days for this fight?
