That was another chastening experience for old D-boy.
This is the guy that will take over boxing? This one dimensional rabbit n the head lights? Garcia is average and will never be a great boxer.
Peterson straight EMBARRASSED Gift Garcia there in the 10th 11th and 12th and a few earlier ones.
I don't see any way that Garcia beats Thurman. And there's a decent chance that Keith straight up steamrolls him.
Thurman would humiliate him, seriously. Lamont embarrassed him in the championship rounds.
This fight was closer than the Herrera fight, IMO. Danny struggles heavily against someone who's moving. He has no clue how to cut off a ring and is very easily frustrated.
Peterson gave too many rounds away early.
Peterson won his late rounds more clearly, but left too many close ones and did too much moving early, the judges gave Garcia the swing rounds.
Garcia is really looking poor these days, just taking wild swings.
Danny wants to jump in the Lion's Den with the WWs....let him. He sounds confident and isn't ducking people. The dude is tough and likes to bang. He will lose eventually but he's in entertaining fights. And remember, lucas matthysse and Khan were supposed to destroy him......
Sounds good. But what I dislike about him is the fact that he refuses to give out rematches. "I'm the champion, I call the shots, you had your chance!" Ok but still, give the people what they want and your opponents another chance. And remember, Danny was supposed to destroy and KO Peterson. Look what happened.
Put Danny in there with Thurman or Maidana and he gets killed. From now on he needs to get carefully managed if they want to make use of him for the future.

Peterson displayed some real skills tonight. I always enjoy watching Peterson. Dude is a true old school boxer. BUT....he gave away too many rounds early. EVERYONE knows these judges don't favor boxers that move "excessively". I get that he was following a gameplan which actually was brilliant, but he should've started banging away after round 3. Garcia landed some solid shots to the body and enough to the head early on to steal rounds in these judges eyes. It was an entertaining fight and I hope there's a rematch. I'm just happy to see boxing back on prime time TV, fck all the complaints.
Garcia lost the championship rounds bad.
He really has no creativity, skills, or answers when the GARASH isn't there. His inside fighting isn't great either.

People are wise to the no-look-left-hook now. I don't see Danny Garcia winning against any top 147lber, a Khan rematch or a Matthsse rematch. Provo would probably knock Gift Garcia's head off lol
Peterson walked down lil Danny like a BOSS. Holy $#!+ I wasn't expecting that and he ate all of Garcia's shots like nothing. Al Haymon did a good job tonight :bottle:

Think Herrera won more clearly than Peterson, but Peterson definately gave Garcia a bigger as whooping. Casuals don't really get that fights are won on a round by round basis (and probably don't care), but what they saw and what they will remember is Garcia being embarrassed.
I agree I could only give Garcia 3 rounds against Herrera but thought he COULD have won 5 here but I saw on 3 rounds he won clearly, as opposed to 5 rounds that Peterson won clearly.
I wonder why Peterson never stood his ground earlier? Whenever he walked forward he looked dominant. He gave away too many rounds early on when he was on his bicycle.
He was remembering the Matthysse left-hook extravaganza and didnt want to play the same game with Garcia's no look left hook. I thought Peterson paced the fight exceptionally well. Fantastic performance that was. Shows how good of a boer Bradley is, and how devastating Matthysse.

Careful dude, you might get labeled a Puerto Rican hater, who supports runners, and doesn't know sh*t about boxing. But I agree with you,Peterson outclassed, dominated and man handled Garcia.
