Currently watching his commentary on Hopkins vs Trinidad, EPIC. He's breaking down the fight and footwork etc, he see's the beating coming Trinidad's way looong before Jim and Larry. He also talks about Mayweather in his Genaro Hernandez fight. Best commentator I've personally heard about, the way he was breaking down Trinidads footwork in the third and fourth was brilliant:boxing:
HBO don't want commentators who knows everything about the sport. They'll keep Roy Jones around for a little color. But big George knows everything inside and out about boxing and has in the past put Max, Larry and that racist hypocrite Jim Lampley on blast when they showed their pathetic bias against a true boxer. Big George even questioned both Letterman's father and daughter on their scoring methods and how they claim that to know so much but were totally wrong.Big George tells it like it is regardless of the fighter and doesn't praise fighters like Pacroid who George knows was hiding something when he wouldn't take the test. George ask the hard questions and one would have been that if a guy working 9-5 had the chance to make $40 thousand more a year by taking a drug test and didn't it's obvious he's hiding something. Apply the same concept to a boxer with the possibility to make millions and he starts making excuses big George will tell everyone that there's something stinking in Pacroid's zza. That is the reason HBO don't want big George commentating their BS fights. Big George knows boxing whereas the butt kissing morons they have now are the right complexion as well as the hatred towards the top boxer in the sport. .........
This is another racist Hebrew black Israelite. Also adding pacquiao in the mix, if you know something big George is a huge pacman fan he defended him against Floyd, so you making shat up.
Wasn't there some stuff about him & Lampley really not being fond of each other at all? I know they got into it a few times on air, like pretty heated sh*t. I think they kinda made amends but I doubt they ever want to work together again.
It's cause lampley is an emotional dude, watch the Barrera vs hamed fight, lamps hated harmed and loved Barrera and Forman loved harmed when Barrera was whipping harmed the two of them traded verbal jabs at each other.
Foreman also criticized lamps for leaving his daughter side in a riot at the garden
George was great, him and Lennox together were unintentional comedy gold. The Lennox Michael grant fight is classic george.
"He broke his leg!"
Grant gets up seconds later.

Because he would stay dumb **** like "Outside of the two fighters, the referee is the most important man in the ring tonight".
He was in general terrible.
yeah ur right, half of the time he said **** that doesnt make any sense, and its not cause idksab

He was fun to listen to but he would almost always be biased towards the puncher in the fight even if he was getting completely outboxed. I personally didn't think he made a good commentator, not as bad as Lennox, but still pretty bad.
He was amusing at times, overall a good asset to the team.
He was pretty much calm, is not good to have too many hyped up people on the crew, although Roy Jones is calm also.
Yeah, I can't find it now but I saw an interview with Lampley a while back where the interviewer asked him if he missed working with Foreman and Lampley just said 'not at all' or something to that effect.

He certainly is a brilliant commentator. He sees the fourth dimension. His commentary on Vargas-Trinidad is excellent. At one point he had to dumb down what he was saying so Larry Merchant could understand it. He should come back.

Yeah old George was good.
Bring him back for sure.
But nothing will ever bring HBO back to former glory unless Larry Merchant lived forever.
HBO basically died as the undisputed best commentary to watch the moment Larry retired.
His wit and humour and thrilling style was absolutely unbeatable.
He did not retire. He was forced out. He's still around doing commentary for secondary telecasts and some other places.
I never liked the guy. He tries too hard and is a fake, racist *******.
