Let's have it real.
Khan deserves all the sh1t he is getting for ducking Kell Brook but he has been very vocal for weeks, nay YEARS, about wanting to fight Tim Bradley. Bradley has had weeks to respond and try to negotiate a fight with Khan but failed to do so.
The ONLY REASON Khan pulled out of the IBF eliminator situation yesterday was because he'd already agreed to fight Algieri and the timing of the situation.
The IBF called for a Bradley-Khan eliminator on the same day that Khan had agreed another fight. Khan would have to cancel that fight, go back on an agreement and signed contract which would have meant losing money.....to enter into a NEGOTIATION PERIOD with Tim Bradley. It's not like the fight was on the table with a date, venue etc like it was with Brook.
Bradley is promoted by Top Rank (Bob Arum). Khan is with Al Haymon. They would have been given something like 30 days by the IBF to work out a deal which they obviously wouldn't have because of who was involved. Then it would have gone to purse bids which means it would be mid-May before the fight was made.
Ramadan begins in early June. Khan needed a signed fight now. It should have been Brook of course but it's Algieri. It was never going to be Bradley.
Bradley did not offer Khan a fight, nor did he accept the IBF eliminator. Keep this in mind.
If he really wanted to fight Amir Khan, he would have responded to Khan's public call outs which have been taking place for weeks. Instead he has been trying to secure a fight with Cornholio Bumdrage.
People need to understand this and not be so simplistic just because it's cool to bash Khan at the moment.
I dunno - I think Khan want's another easy fight.
His record is starting to look a bit...cherry picked and light.
If he fought Brook or Bradley then respect - but Algieri?
No way, that's p1ssing in the fans faces.
Bradley was clearly not viable though - that's the point.
Why did you get banned? I heard Box Office grassed on you
Damn, this thread has backfired on OP. Bradley "ducks" Khan to fight Pac and Khan "ducks" Bradley to fight Algieri. Well, at least one of those situations looks like a "duck".
Bradley clearly ducked Khan.
Khan clearly ducked Brook.
He's not ducked Bradley.
I was fine with Khan's opposition up until Algieri.
He moved trainers and to a new division. You need a bedding in period. His opponents were slowly improving Molina < Diaz < Collazo < Alexander.
He's clearly taken a step backwards with Algieri though and it is pathetic.
Not only a backward step, but if he fought and beat Brook his whole career would have taken a huge leap forward.
Its not bad advice, it's Khan's ego - its really affecting his judgement.
What about broner lol he FaceTime him and agreed to fight like 4 times
Come on man, Broner pulled this same stunt last year. Talking about fighting Khan on the Mayweather under card but when it came time to it, he wasn't having the fight.
We know full well Khan would fight Broner in a heartbeat - that kid is absolutely tailor made for him.
Al Haymon was absolutely not going to put Broner in with Khan. Adrien wanted it at a catchweight too lol.
Fine, what happened with Bradley wasn't him ducking I'll admit that, it's no excuse for his opponents lately. He hasn't even fought anyone at Danny's level since that loss, it's pathetic.

You must not have understood it then. Maybe get someone more intelligent to explain it to you.

Bradley doesn't care about Khan, all he cares about is money and squeezing as much as he can out of Top Rank and HBO.
Who cares, ever since he got KO'd by Danny, Khan hasn't fought anyone even worth mentioning. Him not fighting Brook or Bradley is pathetic, he only wants to fight Floyd and Manny because he'll know he can lose to lesser fighters and his career basically be over. Essentially, Khan is scared of Bradley and Brook.
He fought a guy who whitewashed Maidana, a guy who drew with Shaun Porter, a guy who knocked out Ortiz and he's now fighting a guy who outpointed Ruslan Provodnikov and went the distance with Manny Pacquiao.
Khan isn't scared of Bradley, boxing politics precluded the fight but that's what happens when you sign with Al Haymon.
I did read it. Bradley ducked Khan to face Manny. Khan seems to be ducking Brook and Bradley to fight... to not fight at all apparently.

Do you not remember the Casamayor fight? :lol1:
Bradley walked away from an AGREED DEAL to fight Khan.
Khan walked away from a drawn out NEGOTIATION PERIOD because he already had another fight signed and didn't have time to negotiate with Bradley
The eliminator was against Bradley and that is the fight that he turned down.
The fight wasn't on the table. It was a negotiation which couldn't have taken place in time for Khan's schedule. Learn to READ, kid.
You didn't read the thread did you? Khan wanted to fight Bradley. He didn't want to fight Brook.

Amir Khan used to be known as a guy who always fought the best opponents available.
Is anybody really surprised how that changed after he signed with Haymon?
"I’ll fight you, Amir. I’m not afraid of you. Let’s fight. Let’s make it happen. Come talk to my people. Talk to my manager. We can make it happen,” Bradley said.
