Who has the better resume of these two heavyweight champions?
'Smoking' Joe Frazier:
Muhammad Ali
Joe Bugner
Jimmy Ellis (2)
Bob Foster
George Chuvalo
Jerry Quarry (2)
Oscar Bonavena
Buster Mathis
Eddie Machen
Wladimir 'Dr. Steelhammer' Klitschko
Chris Byrd (2)
David Haye
Alexander Povetkin
Calvin Brock
Tony Thompson (2)
Kubrat Pulev
Samuel Peter (2)
Eddie Chambers
Ruslan Chagaev
Who do you think has the better resume and who ranks greater for you?
frazier who I liked got KO'd twice by foreman was shot and had to retire. Klit got KO'd twice killed Brewster in the rematch forcing HIM to retire and went on a reign of terror for almost 10 years
Reign of terror? :lol1:
Hardly.
So uninitiated guys like you, I'll have to ask - what's worse? Losing to two top 5 heavyweights of all time or losing to guys that were not even in the top 5 of their time?
Klit fans seem to bring up Frazier's losses a lot without a hint of irony.
Nostalgia aside, if you take the Wlad list and the Frazier list and put them in a tournament, the Frazier list would be very lucky to scrape 2-3 wins.
Povetkin, Haye and Byrd alone actually. The others could just stand by and cheer.
Nearly a third of the votes? For shame.
One of the arguments...not the dumbest one from Elroy and his probable alt jughead, who would have one believe that fighters today are just so much better is that Vlad once he worked with Stewart, became the great stalwart of the heavyweight roost that he is today....In other words, he went from merely being Vlad the imploder to Vladimere clinchko!
One lost to foreman and ali,
one lost to purritty, sanders, Brewster

Frazier really only has the Ali win. Some argue Frazier isn't even HOF material. Then you got Vlad, a clear ATG. It's almost a non-question, if you look at things objectively.
How the hell can you say such stupidity?
Ktards are hilarious. A fat talentless Sam Peter puts Klit on his ass 3x and almost gave him a heart attack. Emanuel Steward and Klit wanted nothing to do with a poor mans Joe Frazier Derek Chisora. You guys grossly overestimate this guy. I don't know why. He's certainly no George Foreman. Foreman kills Klit fast. Frazier destroys Klit as well. Only in this era piss poor can a fighter as limited as Klit thrive.
Pretty much the truth. I mean seriously Life and death with Sam Peter? and comparable to Frazier?:rofl:
Frazier was a small guy. Had he ever faced guys like Klitchko? I dont think so..
He was even smaller than Povetkin. Frazer would not have any chance in heavyweuight division nowadays against guys like Pulev, Arreola etc. They all would be like giants against him..
Wow honesty.
Smokin' Joe knocks out Pulev, Povetkin and Arreola in one year.

Awful. ****ing. Post.

For anyone who wants a 'fairer' analysis go to Elroy1's thread. In there, he comes with a much more objective stance - not just stating each person's best names - but actually breaking them down objectively.
Also, Elroy - You have me on ignore. Why would you want to post in my thread if you have me on ignore? :lol1:
I don't think Frazier is a great fighter either though. I'd pass on Frazier vs Brewster and watch cat videos.Huh, this would be a barn burner while it lasted. It would be similar to Frazier vs Quarry or Frazier vs Bonevena. I actually think Frazier was a great fighter but doesn't have a better resume than Wlad. He does have a signature win though. Wlad doesn't have one and it may be too late for him to get one. If Haye could get his career on track and be a champion and unify for a few years. That could help but I can't see that happening as undersized heavyweights need their speed and reflexes more.
Post Ali I his defenses were WBO Vitali bad. He defended the belt against Terry Daniels and Ron Stander both were as bad Obed Sullivan or Ed Mahone. When Frazier fought the best it was to garner the recognition of being the number 1 contender to Ali's vacated throne. After that he milked the title until the super fight.
Yes, that was two fights. Even Ron Stander only had 1 disputed loss on his record and had beaten a few former Frazier opponents. But as I said, few meaningful fights. Not 10 like Ali.
The fact that you cannot see it tells it all.
I didn't say I couldn't see it. I'd just like to know what you are referring to.
