Weather's finally starting to come around and as always, there were plenty of revelations around these parts:
I learned that God cares about who wins a boxing match and perhaps even bets on them.
I learned that people will b*tch about PBC and the current exciting stage of boxing all because it's being spearheaded by the evil genius Al Haymon.
And I learned that Roman Gonzalez can continue to dominate, fight 19 times a year and win all 19 by KO and not even hardcore fans will give a f*ck.
Your turn.
Gonzalez is a top 5 P4P fighter. He's one of the best in the world. But Nobody is pushing him in the US because he's based in Tokyo under Teiken Promotions.
I could've sworn I saw him on a couple Top Rank cards. There has to be an opportunity for cross promotion here.
People ***** about PBC because Haymon's chicanery has stopped Rigo vs LSC, Kovalev vs Stevenson, GGG vs Quillin, GGG vs Chavez and enabled Floyd to duck Pac for years, all the while staging nothing but mismatches and having nothing but mismatches lined up. Broner vs Molina was a tepid mismatch white wash as we knew it would be. Thurman vs Guerrero was a tepid mismatch whitewash (despite the Ghost winning maybe 2 rounds after getting KD'd)
What will Garcia vs Peterson (Matthysse's son vs Herrera's son) do to change the constant stream of mismatches? Haymon is a pedlar of terrible product. That's why nobody likes him. Fury vs Cunningham did more ratings than PBC's first show by the way. Haymon is dogshlt :peeright:
Actually, Bob Arum stopped Golovkin vs. Chavez. Chavez had to choose between a small payday and no extension or a much bigger payday with an extension. Arum was going to underpay him if he didn't sign an extension.
Haymon had nothing to do with it. Chavez might not even have been signed to him yet.
I learned that there are posters that swear Jean Pascal not using VADA testing means he is a dirty PED cheat but those same posters have the opinion Kovalev not using VADA testing doesn't mean he is a dirty PED cheat.
I learned that Floyd Mayweather being proper and professional in interviews and during the press conference is incredibly difficult to watch.
I learned Manny Pacquio does a hell of a good job selling the fight in the position as the opponent.
I learned that a lot of posters on this site, who presumably signed on because they love the sport of boxing, don't like it when 3.4 million people tune in to a fight on free TV because Al Haymon is behind the show.
I learned that the Floyd v Manny fight is actually bigger than most of us thought it would be.
No mention of Memo Heredia who admitted to peddling steroids in front of a Congressional committee what a scrote you are son! :peeright:

That one guy losing 1 pound means he was drained because of a catchweight, but another guy doing the same doesn't matter.
That Manny Pacquiao forced Oscar De La Hoya to drain himself.
That Tim Bradley is apparently a bum now.
That Adrien Broner is apparently Floyd Mayweather III again.
That NSB is so petty that they want PBC to fail only because of Al Haymon, even if failing hammers one of the final nails in boxing's coffin.

I learned that Floyd pretended to be shook at the press conference,in order to make himself look more vulnurable,to sell the fight that sells itself. Also that we should feel bad for Floyd since he has a "speech impediment",but we should laugh at Pacquiao for not speaking perfect English, despite it not being his native tongue.
as far as god & boxing goes.
you gotta thank somebody.. when you have nothing and end up with everything
"im wayyyy up, i feel blessed"
