Pacquiao has Barrera, Morales, Marquez the three Mexican legends. Barrera vs Pacquiao 1 was a classic. Pac and Barrera have great admiration for each other, This was the last great era of featherweights four featherweight horseman.
Teddy Atlas said something that was spot on during the Floyd vs Manny presser, in order to be a true legend to be remembered, you need a joe frazier or a chief rival, someone who brings the best out of you and trully tests your will and skill. Pacquiao had 3 all time greats and chief Rivals who all brought the best out of him and he brought the best out of them. Shame Morales and Marquez never fought.

Its insane that Morales and Marquez never fought.
It would have completed the circle, this was truly the last great featherweight era, it might be a while before you have 4 legends like that all time greats in one division doing a near round robin with each other.
Dang shame that Prince Naseem retired and quit so early after one loss, HBO was basically setting up a fight with him and Pacquiao, but Prince retired.
It really is, Pac is a legend in the sport. When he dismantled Barrera the first time, I was in shock.
Then when Morales beat him, I was in shock again...lol
that morales performance was one for the ages, that last round ... pfffffft!!
when you think about it, it really is utterly stupid that pac fought all three of them cats ... pac's resume is absolutely bananas.

It's cool Pac is friendly with a whole bunch of his past ring foes...Barrera, Morales, Cotto...etc..
I know Barrera, Morales have a quiet respect for JMM. But I don't get the impression they are friendly with him (as in ..hang out and chat).
They should get a Mexican to call this fight. Even in Mexican! Those guys make you hold your pee for all 12 rounds. You wonder what they are seeing that is so exciting!
nice vid. classic.
if you guys want to see a technical boxing match without alot of running like Rigo and Floyd watch Pac-Barrera 2.
What are you talking about?! Rigondeaux has never ever run in the ring, he is the greatest active boxer alive!
nice vid. classic.

that was somme **** right there good fights miss there era
You call Floyd and Rigo runners but Barrera wasn't a runner in the second Pac fight? OK bro :lol1:
Yeah I thought Barrera did fight rather negatively in that fight for the most part, although he did have some sparse moments of success. At the end it seemed he was proud of his performance, even knowing that he'd lost, it's like he was impressed with himself for surviving the full 12 against Pacquiao.
Understandable though because Pac had KOd Morales in 3 rounds only two fights earlier - Barrera felt he was getting one up on Morales by showing that he could take Pacquiao 12 when Morales couldn't last 3 the last time they fought. I'm pretty sure that had something to do with it too, strange as it might sound.
Yes I've seen it. Barrera was just doing enough NOT to get embarrassed again by Manny. Backing up when you're in control of a fight is one thing, but backing up so you don't get your ass kicked is another.
You = DKSAB :lol1:
Pac Barrera 2 epitome of running? are you ok? have you seen the fight?
:lol1:
