Funny how Lara started saying GGG after Adama was announced as Golovkin's opponent for Monte Carlo.
Very typical
Only way I could see it happening is if there's a mandatory/purse bid situation. Definitely don't see Lara fighting on HBO under normal circumstances with Haymon paying out of his own pocket for his guys to fight on other networks.
Jacobs v Lara for the WBA belt would be an in-house fight if Lara wanted to move up. He would be 1 win away from the fight he supposedly wants.
I think he(or his management) is just talking on twitter.

You're probably right about that, I don't see Lara being allowed to fight Golovkin on HBO.
@Joviel19 @GGGBoxing @RealMiguelCotto lets do it GGG— Erislandy Lara (@Laraboxing) March 10, 2015

lara should ask al haymon to make the andrade fight instead of calling out welterweights.
he's pissed because thurman beat up his buddy robert guerrero.

Lara probably wins, doubt Thurman's power carries up and he's vulnerable on the front-foot.
Thurman's not going to 154 though, he said Canelo is the only guy he'd move up in weight to fight.
Thurman Beat Carlos Quintana at 154 didn't he? Power was evident there.
Thurman has fought at 154 before and the powers does carry.
Yes... Thurman can make 154 but he's still quite small and skinny... Lara outclasses him in a boring fight.
By his own admission, Lara's a big JMW. During the Angulo fight Schaeffer told Lara he wasn't allowed to weigh above 164lbs. He has a frame almost identical to Marvin Hagler's.

Forgot about all that. Some really shady **** for that fight.
I never actually bothered to watch that fight, so I didn't realize he got that big. I just remember he's been at 160 in some fights.

170.5 against Smith is a pretty big rehydration for Lara compared to his other fights. Around that weight he starts to become closer to MW territory. I'd say he might start be getting too big to go down to 147 comfortably at this point.

I want to see Lara at 147. He' not huge.

Thurman avoids that fight; high risk, low reward. I got Lara taking that quite easily. I like Thurman, but he still has some work to do on certain aspects of his game. A guy like Lara who can box, has good speed, and can hit will give Thurman problems. If Guerrero was a bit more quick on his feet and had power at 147 he could have made it competitive. Lara has that and more.
