Canelo is like a rich kid born with a silver spoon up his ass. He has done actually nothing. A razor thin victory over Trout,(which was an open scoring robbery of a match) a razor thin victory over Lara which was another robbery, shut out loss to Mayweather then whipped up on a corpse in Angulo.
This guy's sense of entitlement is a joke. Why should he get huge fights like a rematch with Mayweather when he has done **** all. He's awesome in that he fights EVERYBODY. But Canelo is just an average fighter. He is nothing special and will never be a superstar.

Canelo's a real good fighter. He maybe needs to be slowed down a touch as far as who he's matched with but he is very complete.
He needs to take his weight draining ass up to 160 where he belongs. He can't make 154, and 155 isn't a division. It's a handicap within the division he belongs at.
Super junior middleweight=155 lbs. :lame: lmao
I owe you another apology for mis spelling Aztekkas. This just ain't my night.
Don't worry about it :) . I think we see eye to eye on this particular situation. Cheers, Bolio :)
Canelo makes 154 all day. U can hate on him all u want but u can't question his professionalism and work ethic to make his weight.
Is that why he couldn't make weight for his title fight against Mathew Hatton? Is that why he requested a 155 catch weight against Angulo because he was struggling to get down to 154?
I'm not questioning his work ethic and professionalism, because I believe he has them both. Dude is all business in the ring. But he cannot make 154 all day everyday. He's a MW disguised as a JMW.
He's a middleweight, doe. He's picking on smaller 154 pounders by making them go up one whole pound, doe. You may not know it but it affects his opposition, doe.
True story :)No, it's a bullsh*t story. As I explained clearly the three men he fought at 155 were as big or bigger than Canelo. 155 ain't middleweight. 160 is middleweight. Kirkland fought his last fight at a 156 limit so why aren't you even more pissed at him???? Nobody has to fight Canelo at 155. He is not making anyone do something they don't want to do. You just hate Canelo and 155 is your BS excuse to rag on him.
P much :lol1:
I find it hilarious though. Sure Canelo's 155 catchweights are lame and all but people act as if he's fighting for titles and or bringing up fighters 2 weight divisions to beat them down. Perhaps his career was a joke up until the Trout fight but limited or not he's been fighting everyone he can get a hold of and not one of his opponents has bitched about the "Canelo" weight. Why? Because I'm sure one whole pound over the weight limit of 154 isn't negatively impacting their performance.
I would have a bigger issue with it if he snatched Lara's belt at 155 but he didn't, he completely ignored the belt and simply took the fight because of the challenge Lara brought.
Personally I think he should move up to MW but I doubt he'd die attempting to make 154. Folks just love to nitpick a fighter's career simply because they dislike them.
His hair is too red, he Irish doe.
Canelo is bloating his opponents by one pound, doe.
GTFO :lol1:
Folks claiming Trout lost because of the open scoring is hilarious. Trout is a fighter and his job is to fight and adapt. Those very same rules of open scoring are widely used in Thailand, Mexico, Japan and other countries yet you don't hear them complaining that their fighters are losing because of open scoring. If anything it gives the fighters a sense of urgency if they hear they are behind on the scorecards and pushes them forward in an attempt to change the circumstances. But that's an entirely different argument :lol1:
Canelo weight >>> Weight draining.
Off top.
And Lara's belt is a joke. He'd be better off throwing it in the nearest dumpster. Canelo didn't want that junk.
And Canelo whipped Trouts ass. The 'limited' Canelo made the 'slick Southpaw' miss like hell, and made him pay. Trout landed a whopping 26% of the 750 punches he throw. Again, make a list of people who think Trout won. All people who cannot stand Canelo.
Lara fight could have been a draw. Nobody ran away with that fight but Lara's belt is worth less than a penny you find in the front yard.
Make a list of everyone who said that. It's very telling, you will see a list of people that literally cannot stand Canelo.

Canelo is no longer a world champion so he is free to fight at any damn weight he chooses and it doesn't harm any other boxer or impact any other fighter's career. Canelo fighting his last three fights at 155 isn't breaking any rules and he isn't picking on smaller fighters. Lara is a huge 154 pounder who is willing to fight any middleweight. Angulo went up to 160 in his next fight after the Canelo loss. Kirkland's last fight before his up coming fight with Canelo was fought at a weight limit of 156 pounds so he is coming down a pound. If Canelo fights at 155 for the next ten years what the hell difference does it make? If Canelo gets a shot at a 154 pound title he still has to make 154 pounds. If Canelo gets a shot at a middleweight title he still has to fight a full sized 160 pounder. Meanwhile Canelo fighting other boxers who agree to a weight limit of 155 pounds does no harm to anyone so please quit your bittching.

He is all there is right now for GB they will keep pushing him, but after the clear loss to Lara they know he is no beast by far. The only pathetic excuse people use to why he "beat" Lara is cause Lara looked bad winning wtf kind of scoring is that ain't a beauty pageant he would have kicked Canelo in the balls if he had to not having a fan pleasing style doesn't take away points in boxing is hit and dont get hit Canelo literally couldn't put a coconut into a pool in that fight didn't hit sh*t all night and Lara pot shotted his way to a win that he was never going to get, people trying to act like Levi frikking Martinez didn't happen.
What's even more clear Canelo knew he lost the second the bell rang in the 12th it was all over his face even his fans can only post sad gifs of Lara slipping on water as Canelos triumphant moment in the fight that's how much of not sh*t he did. But GB can't let him be embarrassed like that again they know they came close to the fight being too clear of a robbery to get away with, and they wont risk it for a while he is all they got to put on a pedestal.
If Canelo wants a rematch at 154 then clearly he can make 154. He made 152 for the first fight so he would be two pounds stronger at 154 which is the weight the first fight should have been at. Mayweather won't rematch him at 154 anyway so why worry about a fight that will never happen? Canelo took the fight to both Lara and Trout. Both fights were close but Canelo deserved to win both fights. Canelo is a damn good fighter and a good man.

Exactly. Canelo is the king of the boilers. Mikey Garcia Terrence Crawford and Adonis Stevenson are contenders but Canelo is the best weight drainer out there right now.
The legends are right about him. He's a mostly manufactured soap opera star. I respect that he'll take any fight(which sadly has become an admirable trait instead of the bare minimum), but beyond that it's hard to take this guy and his ego seriously.
