If I was Sergey Kovalev I would immediately change my promoter because now he has to fight Angel "Memo" Heredia's boxer Jean Pascal without him having to face any drug testning at all.
We have seen in the past what monstrous results Memo is capable of achieving in his fighters when they don't need to face any drug testing.
Why should Sergey stay with a promoter who obviously doesn't care about his health?
To me Kathy Duva looks incompetent and if she doesn't care about her fighters' health she should not expect them to be loyal to her. Her fighters are now risking their lives because of her naivety, and this could be very costly for Sergey.
Even more surprising is that HBO let this happen to one of their main fighters when they very well know what Memo is capable of doing. Some people never learn.
.
Greg Leon, the CEO of Jean Pascal Promotions, said that Pascal only ***8220;does WADA-compliant testing***8221; which doesn't include CIR testing, and when Kathy Duva wanted CIR testing Jean Pascal refused.
.
Unfortunately, it'd be to difficult for me to find the link, but a while back someone from either GYM or Interbox confirmed the testing protocol uses CIR on every sample.
EDIT: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=670157
It's pretty much like this, if you want the likes of Pascal and Marquez to get properly tested then you don't get the fight. It's not cool, but that's how it is. A guy in Kovalev's position has to take his chances, take the risk.
Pascal has been working with Memo for a while now, I haven't seen any great improvements.
She incompetent because a great fighter like Kovalev should be making top dollar and he's not.
Kovalev had to take short money for Hopkins but he is said to be making around $3m for the Pascal fight.
what fight had no drug testing that had monstrous results that memo was part of?
You still think Memo is innocent and that your favorite was clean. :pat:
Memo shows openly what he is doing. This is no secret to anybody, but you...

"CIR is a regular part of the USADA testing program for all athletes under USADA's jurisdiction, as well as a routine part of the anti-doping programs conducted by USADA in the sport of professional boxing," USADA said. "It is completely inaccurate to say that CIR testing would only be done if a T/E ratio is 4-1."
Conte told NYFightBlog that VADA flagging the Peterson specimen will result in the embrace of the CIR test by testing entities, and the jettisoning of the T/E ratio test, which he disputed as a loophole you can fit a Mack truck through.
USADA countered that CIR has, in fact, been embraced in the testing community:
"CIR has been used by anti-doternationally since the early 2000s and there have been many athletes sanctioned by USADA and other national anti-doping organizations around the world as the result of CIR testing. CIR is an important tool in our toolbox and we use it strategically and effectively."
So not every sample then.
We agree.
They both so the same thing only USADA is worldwide and VADA is mainly boxing.
USADA, weren't they the ones that tested Armstrong for 10 years while he was doped to the gills
Memo should not even be in the sport.
Amazing how Marquez tried to hide him from the media, they wanted to keep it hush.
Now a guy that boast his PEDs are the best and undetectable is in boxing where the consequence are not records being smashed but skulls and lives.
Duva should have done her job, but Boxing should do it's job and ban this guy from the sport.
Amazing how he has been down Floyd's gym a guy who said he wants to clean up the sport

Cheaters like Memo knows that USADA is following the T/E ratio, so if the predetermined ratio is not breached, the synthetic testosterones will not be detected.
USADA follows the T/E ratio, while VADA tests with CIR on all samples. You can triple the amount of synthetic testosterone in the fighters system without breaching USADA's T/E ratio.

this is old news, they have said before they use it when they feel something there's something to be suspicious about
also note the bold
Only uses an agency that doesn't use CIR and works exclusively with Heredia? LOL, OK, so you are saying he's dirty right? Because that is the only thing that makes sense.
He cries wolf, gets his bluff called, then conveniently has a safety net that clears the way for him to juice up.....got to love it.
Heredia has a long history of making and delivering PEDs...
Over the next five years, Heredia became perhaps the most prolific drug dealer in track and field, a steroids savant who supplied hard-to-detect PEDs to Stewart and a dozen star athletes. He was also an expert in the contours of high-level cheating, endlessly studying the World Anti-Doping Agency's code so he could crack it. His tentacles reached so deeply into the sport that his client list grew to include Trevor Graham, a track coach with a roster of Olympic stars that included Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery and Jerome Young. Young, who was later stripped of his gold medal, was secretly using a stipend from USA Track & Field to pay for Heredia's drugs.
... In 2002 a federal investigation into the infamous BALCO lab turned up evidence that Heredia was dealing drugs to those track icons. That year, the government's lead agent...tracked Heredia to a Laredo hotel and confronted him with wiretaps on which he could be heard boasting about his doping operation...
...trials that led to Olympic bans against Jones, Montgomery and their coach, Graham. In the last of his cases, Heredia testified against his old friend Stewart, leading to the coach's lifetime ban in 2010.
..."People keep asking me, 'Don't you feel sorry for Marion?'", he says, comparing the six-month jail sentence that Jones received.... "I say: Look, there's no doubt I feel sorry. But she had the opportunity to help out her government and didn't."

I'm pretty sure it's because they're confident enough in Kovalev that he can knock the **** out of Pascal whether or not hes taking PEDs or not. Which I agree with Pascal can work with Memo, Conte, and ****ing Ariza for all i care hes getting his ass kicked by Kovalev.
It's the wife beater who is on PEDs, and that's why you have so many fl0mos interested in defending PED-use nowadays.
However, Kovalev then seems naive of what difference modern PEDs can make to a fighter's performance. Why let your opposition use illegal drugs when they suddenly get an iron chin, much faster speed and more powerful punches?
If Kovalev still manages to dominate he might punch his opposition to their death, because their bodies are so full of drugs that they don't feel death coming. This is not what we need in boxing.

All because they can't cope with Manny getting KTFO.
By the way, I never hear much about DAnny taking tests and he has that "Garsh". He had some kind of magical powers to swell Matthysse's eye up like he did with a mere love tap, care to explain that? :nono:
